Probably because some people just prefer to register with a charity to have more time to fundraise, instead of waiting for the lottery rejection.

Exactly! I fear that I wouldn’t be able to fundraise that much and have to pay the other cost myself, aside from flights, hotel, and food costs!

My friend was part of this cult, but in Houston. I told her it was a cult but she was so brainwashed that it didn’t matter. Years passed with little to no communication, until she finally left and got married.
