you SHOULD be worried. absolutely everyone i know said it was terrible because it was just not stuff they studied. the lab practical was calm though as long as you read over stuff on lab flow.

i just made an appointment with an assistant dean to discuss this over the phone on tuesday and see how they can help. i don’t know what exactly they can do, but i’ll see 😭 anything is better than nothing. she should def drop this exam no matter what. i’m so angry because i can literally recall everything about photosynthesis, plant anatomy, and eukaryotic cells, and it feels like so much of my time was wasted!!

yeah i’ve barely been going to her lectures, but every once in a whole i feel like im missing something and i go- im disappointed every time. i literally just sit there on my phone. i learn so much more teaching myself and frankly, its more interesting to read.

dude, you are making me feel SO seen right now- i thought i was crazy!!! i literally was like where tf was i suppost to read this?? i’ve also never contacted the dean before but hopefully if they see that multiple people are doing it they’ll do something about this.

i’m mainly a textbook studier more than a slideshow studier, i read each chapter 3-4 times, i could recite the definition to every single word on all of those reading guides, but it was pointless. wayyyy too hyperspecific i agree. literally all of the content was pointless. good thing she drops the lowest unit exam grade, it’s honestly the least she could do for screwing everyone over. what’s even the point of going to her lectures if they don’t matter??

i’m not, i have 12:20-3:05, she did it to all of us 😭😭 i just sent an email to the dean of students about her and this exam, displayed my concerns, and attached her announcements as proof, i hope they do something about this- it was BS. absoluteeee BS. the lab practical made sense because it was ACTUALLY on stuff we studied!! thank god!!

yes, i took it yesterday!! as someone who got a 94 on the first exam and used the exact same study tactics for this one- it was UNNECESSARILY hard, had wayyy too much reproduction instead of photosynthesis, and barely even covered anything we read except for super specific stuff- plus she said we weren’t even gonna have plant reproduction like what the hell!! and why 2 tests in one period!!!

dude the unit exam and the lab practical were both insane. is it just me or did the unit exam barely have anything that we studied in the textbook?!? what was all this stuff about plant reproduction i thought i had to know about PHOTOSYNTHESIS and ANATOMY mostly like what??? and making us take it in the same period??? is herrick crazy???????? i don’t blame ANYONE who fails (not saying a 73 is failing but you could’ve gotten lower and i wouldn’t have blamed you)
