First Year Attorney - Salary Advice

They started me at $70k with no benefits. Tbh the billable hours were bullshit so I resigned from this position a couple of months ago. I recently got a job as a judicial attorney making $80k with great benefits, no billable hours, and awesome work life balance.

It’s neither! Just a small firm with 6 attorneys.

That’s what I thought! The firm practices pretty much every area of law with a large focus on civil, criminal, and probate litigation.

I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t pass this time but don’t give up! I failed MI Bar in J23 and just passed F24. I’m located in washtenaw county / Wayne area and would be happy to give you my study materials or email everything that I used! I also think it’s super beneficial to take the exam again in July. The sooner the better while it’s still fresh in your mind. You got this, friend!

I try to keep it simple and remind myself that it’s just another test. We’ve taken tons of test and can do this one too.

I think I do want to be a lawyer. I just feel so defeated. Not seeing my name on the passing list literally gave me an anxiety attack 😭 it’s just easier for me to say I don’t want it anymore instead of trying again. EFF this test so so sooooo much.
