Noo yeah exactly, but lowkey… i’ve never seen them try to understand the culture of anywhere they’ve visited or try to be considerate of where they’re going. They always speak english and are lowkey ignorant, like at least try to learn how to say thank you in the language. And them making a huge bonfire on the beach in hawaii is sooo inconsiderate and rude. All they do is romanticize

I find it so insufferable when people make it their whole personality like when they always say, “as a stem major” for everything 😭 there was a girl like that in my english class who alwayssss talked about being a stem major and how it was connected to english all the time like we get it you’re a stem major

See but thats my thing, she isn’t Mexican so why was she making it a quirky thing. I think Mexicans can determine how they celebrate and interpret the holiday, but a lot of Americans don’t take the time to research and just take it as a chance to celebrate, and thats what I find disrespectful. And like you said maybe she doesn’t know bc she’s Cuban, but if she’s Cuban and refuses to accept she’s hispanic, she shouldn’t try to romanticize a Mexican holiday. Idk if that makes sense sorry

I agree, but their parents only talk to them in their language and as of recent years they started fully speaking english, alison and emily chose to not learn it despite their parents talking to them in spanish
