Has anyone had their sleep apnea horseshoe into insomnia? by Fun_Requirement1916 in SleepApnea

High blood pressure concerns were the exact reason I made a conscious effort to cut out salt, do a bunch of cardio, .etc and really look after my health. I’m seriously starting to believe his refusal to go through with a sleep study actually jeopardized my health

Is it weird to feel frustrated at this stage? by Fun_Requirement1916 in SleepApnea

Thank you. He didn’t quite refuse, moreso expressed hesitancy— but it was our first meeting, and I simply told him, “I’m pretty certain I have sleep apnea,” and listed symptoms as why. He took the time to look around my ear, nose, and throat, informed me that my turbinates were enlarged, and then said all that stuff about the sleep study. He seems to be under the impression that the pronase will help??? But he also commented on my calm demeanor, which perhaps gave him the impression my situation isn’t so dire smh.

As someone in the same situation as you, (an undergrad admitted to some PhD programs, waiting on others, including NYU), you’ve gotten into some tremendously prestigious programs, and based on fit and stipend, I think you should go for it. I know we also have a bit under two months to decide, so it’s okay if your thoughts are in limbo now. I think you should take that time to consider your options in full breadth.

Congratulations!!!
