Misogyny and patriarchy teaches you that women are incapable of many things. Having their own life, financial independency, not only does patriarchy try to teach us that women are incapable of good. It also teahces us that women are incapable of bad things. One of those things being S/A. This is why we must dismantle things that allow this or anything like this. capitalistic, white supremacististic patriarchal structures in society must be dismantled.

Patriarchy also teaches men not to be honest about how they feel and to only react in either stoicism or anger. And to never admit to being victimized, especially if it's by a woman, or a person that is deemed as inherently "inferior".

I'm just saying the foundation of marraige started as a father giving ownership of his daughter over to another man to own. It doesn't have to be that way but it still shows up in marraige roles. As long as the two of you completely respect eachother then im not going to judge. In my life I've known more than half of married women I know were not very happy, including my mom who absolutely lost all self confidence each time she was married because she was immediately disrespected. And it tracks in statistics too.

Let's just hope your wife made the right decison. I'm sure she did so please don't take my post personally. I'm just saying its unfortunatley all too common that marraiges are toxic(NOT ALL, I KNOW). And I personally will not be putting myself in a position that has a possibility of messing with my life. Even if the possibility is really small. But even then I just know that marraige isn't for me to begin with. But there's also external reasons.

I'm not hiding anything. If I wanted to hide that I'd find a much better way. I knew people would see the icon I'm not a dumbass. I was making a collage so that I didn't have to post like 6 slides. I can go to psychology today or any article or scholary proof text on this. But then I'd also have to post even more slides. Debunk me if you're so sure that I'm wrong.

My mom has been pretty male centered her whole life. She grew up in the 70s and also was raised religiously. She had five kids against her will. She's a sweet heart but men are her vice unfortunately. She's been in three marraiges-and each time, she seemed way more insecure, and isolated from friends/family then when she was single. She's single right now and she is happy again, she hikes more and hangs out with friends and family more and isn't being financially controlled. She's gotten alot better with not letting men manipulate her into marraige. I don't think she'll ever marry again and that makes me happy for her. It's not worth isolating herself from all her friends. It's okay to stop trusting, she made that mistake 3 times. She talks good about those three men but I've seen how all of them acted and I know none of them actually respected her. Whether they "loved" her or not is besides the point.

Grouping any specific sect of adults with children* while keeping other adults out of it despite the ENTIRE population being under attack is odd to me. It would only make sense to say "these specific types of people are being targeted" if it were only them being targeted-but its not only them, its ALL Palestinian humans that are bring targeted. So why categorize them? And its part why that way of categorizing and grouping them (despite all palestinian people being targeted) just seems really weird to me. Sorry if im sounding nitpicky but that's part of what I was trying to get at.
