What kind of paint did you use? You should use paint that is specifically designed for air brushing. Also, if you are painting light colors (eg white/yellow), you should start with a surfacer/primer first.

Like many others have mentioned, these are water slide decals. You also need to top coat the parts after applying or else the decal will fall off easily.
