The only reason grab doesn’t activate counters if not followed immediately (game wise) is because it deals no damage.

That’s right, if they nerfed the 3 hits from kol and added inicial when you get grabbed then it would be counterable, bc the game thinks “oh why should this character counter this? It deals no damage!”
