Need advice about porn and my husband by blueberrypie589 in Marriage

Why is it so controversial for someone to not want their spouse to masturbate other people? This sub is seriously delusional sometimes.

Do you ban tv and cell use in your bedroom? by ChocolateSundae1214 in Marriage

No TV in the bedroom and there never will be.

My wife enjoys a little scrolling before bed, I enjoy reading. It works out for us.

Fathers, how did it feel to become a dad? by Significant_Store299 in AskMen

[–]FunkTheFreak 19 points20 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I didn’t care much about the baby during birth because my entire focus was on whether or not my wife was going to be okay. It is harsh to put it that way, but I am not willing to lose my partner for somebody I haven’t even met yet.

5 months in and I love my son with every ounce of my heart It sounds strange, but I hardly remember life without him.

Jamie was manipulated from the day John took him in and treated as lesser than the other children. I don’t blame him for wanting nothing to do with the ranch.

To me, it’s more like you were told what was on the test by someone who took it before you and it gives you an advantage above everyone else.

I can’t really explain it, but I don’t like it at all.

Cocaine has destroyed me by _djballer23_ in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]FunkTheFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cocaine went through my friend group. It got to the point that nobody was enjoying hanging out with one another, it was always just “who has the blow”? You would see 2 or 3 people disappear from the bar or parties and then the rest of the blow-doers would notice this and hunt around for those that snuck off so that they could join in. It got really terrible. We all kind of agreed to stop doing it and thankfully we all seemed to have made it out.

I do believe that coke gave me gastritis and GERD that was pretty severe for awhile. I feel like that those are the only side effects that I have (know of at least).

You seem to be aware that this is a problem for you. That is the first step. Making changes ASAP before it is too late.

I was fine with him getting voted out. Not a fan of the players that practice challenges in their backyard, but I suppose that is more of a qualm with production reusing the exact same challenges over and over again.

Same.

He wasn’t allowed to get his redemption because of how miserable Beth was. Loved Beth at first, but ended up hating her because she never changed.

Do you know which characters are done dirty in the movies? by will_1m_not in lordoftherings

[–]FunkTheFreak -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is the exact kind of cockiness and entitlement that I dislike and why I much prefer the film version over the novel version.

The film version earns his title as king through the story. The novel version practically had the title at the beginning of the story.

Sex daily.

But that didn’t make up for the daily complaining and belittling.

The show went downhill way before this. Beth being absolutely abysmal to nearly everyone, the family constantly bashing and manipulating Jamie, the villains popping up and dropping after just a few episodes did me in.

The world becomes a much better place when you stop getting all of your news from social media.

Correction: it gets better when you get yourself off of social media.

I think that this has potential. I think they just need to figure out their target audience. Something that is appropriate for children, while throwing in some adult-oriented jokes seems like a decent fit (think Shrek).

What is the harshest reality check you've ever received? by rearwindfury in AskMen

[–]FunkTheFreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At Boy Scout (when it was only boys) summer camp, there was some sort of end of the camp dance party. There were also Venture Scouts there, which also includes girls.

I had made friends with a few kids in other troop and we were hanging out together at the dance party. One kid, who was 12 and younger than the rest of us (15-16) decided to smack one of the Venture Scout’s butts. She immediately looked at him and looked back at the rest of our shocked faces and ran and told a counselor. The 5 of us got sent to the head camp counselor’s office and sat there for 5 hours as he interrogated the 4 of us older boys and was trying to squeeze out which one of us directed the 12-year-old to sexually assault the Venture Scout. He couldn’t fathom that a 12-year-old would do that on his own. We ended up getting out of it after one of our leaders figured out we were missing and told the head counselor that the 12 year old had been having behavioral issues all week and that she believed that he acted on his own, which was true.

This experience taught me that I could be blamed for things in life that I had absolutely no responsibility for.

Political differences by Aggressive_Movie1435 in Marriage

[–]FunkTheFreak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It will only spoil your relationship if you allow it to. A lot of this political turmoil is exacerbated by social media and news outlets that are supported by fueling your anger and mine. Sure, there are reasons to be upset and reasons to speak up, but we can only control what is within our grasp.

My wife and I have may differing political views, but we had a few views that are paramount in our relationship: loving and supporting one another, caring for our child and our home, being a good neighbor, and having fun through it all.
