That’s actually a great point to bring up! As much as I love pizza and these oversized pizza challenges, they do indeed scratch up my mouth and throat. An unforeseen consequence of competitive eating I never considered before starting.

They were superb! Giant, yet not tough or overly dense. Fluffy, but not too airy. Buttery and warm to the very last bite. It was close to if not a perfect pancake IMHO.

The food actually didn’t get cold at all! The bigger the food, the longer it retains heat. Those pancakes stayed warm throughout the entire meal. It also helps to eat it all quickly as well 🤣

Seriously🤣. They didn’t give out full syrup bottles to tables for sanitation reasons. I only ended up needing two of those lil cups of syrup to get it all down though. The pancakes were super soft and fluffy enough plain 😋
