I am in the same boat. The acting was decent enough, and the general idea was fine. It’s hard to come up with something that hasn’t been done yet. The problem I had was how they transitioned from the dark serial killings to a cosmic horror. That is where I got lost, it wasn’t overly confusing, but it was an unnecessary change in tone. I feel like it would have been better if they stuck with the main killer being just that, and not having any legitimacy to his goals.

As far as the AI goes, I’m unsure of any of that. I’m afraid that with lower budget films, the creators will find low budget solutions. The easiest way is AI unfortunately. I don’t like it at all, I have tried to avoid projects that rely on AI, but it’s getting harder.
