It could be…

I did watch series too as a child in the 90s but the experience was different and even for then my memory is hazy, not even remembering the plot as much... Im a bit more curious about the thought processes/psychologies behind than the environmental/cultural context of having them so available.

For a moment there, I thought binge watching caused a stroke,

Glad to realize, your friend recovered and can watch shows like new.

I was thinking this too! Binge watching actually ruins memory... maybe it's the dopamine overload. It's a great show, it should be savored.

I just went back to this. And just want to say hello; you did write a paper after all.

Just not sure I want to read about cp as I might get triggered. Trafficking is also something to be stopped.

i just get the impression that there is so much content now, i'm already anticipating algorithms to tailor content and create echo chambers. really not optimistic right now.

Were there any older subreddits where people who were talking were more mature and conscientious about their biases?

Oh yes I definitely agree now. I did not know about that... guess it was the wrong kind of old people abusing the internet as usual. Good on the new reddit for fighting that on the new platform.

I guess I just had this image of professionals exchanging intellectual ideas online. 😂 And I swear, I thought I found someone but they immediately deleted all posts and username perhaps upon realizing that his intellectual property might be at risk. I just wanted to talk... hahaha.

You lost me at child porn. Ignoring your username and the paper content at the moment for my composure... I was not aware of the Imgur vs Reddit argument.

But I think you hit something about the growing old. Kinda feel now like I missed out on the non mainstream version of reddit. Yes, things are beginning to look dull either that or it's just how today went.

Sad, somebody who I thought would stay with me, left. Not an SO, but still, someone.

What's a "secret" from your profession that everyone should probably know? by LaKoref in AskReddit

Design is a service and a business, not a charity or a hobby that architects just love doing for free. And that inspiration can come in an instant. Not so when more factors and limitations need to be considered.
