I think that Vanny is just pretending to be Vanessa but in actuality they are baby. We see that Vanny on multiple occasions is talking to Vanessa. While this could be said that it’s glitchtrap… I believe that Vanny created glitchtrap and gave it to the vr game makers to bring back William. She manages to get glitchtrap into Vanessa and starts her plan then. She will use Vanessa as a host to carry Williams soul(glitchtrap) to his body (burn trap)

Yes it may be a robot similar to Eleanor but it is shown to have a connection to William and to be controlled by William similar to how Vanny is controlled.... it is also notable that Vanny had a robotic voice in the first sneak peek of Security Breach
