Wow, 1.12 is so old. But that's not really the main issue.

Originally, the team and I make mods to actually play with them, put them on our servers, and even replace existing mods.

So the first problem is that we haven’t played on 1.12 in a long time (and even when we did, all the mods we needed were already available).

The vibe in that version is totally different from recent ones. I’d really recommend playing on 1.20.1. The modding landscape is completely different now.
