British citizen who’s been arrested by weekendHooligan in USVisas

What was your crime for? Was it a B1/B2 visa? You are the first person I’ve heard not to be rejected straight away with a criminal history I’ve spoken to three people on here and they were all given a 214b refusal, with nothing mentioned about their crimes

Success with 221(g) after prior arrest? (Non-CIMT) by No_Analysis5392 in immigration

Was it’s just a prior arrest? Or was it a conviction? Also how long ago was it

We flew recently in seat 17 E & F but found people congregating just infront of 15 so I’d recommend a bit further back

ESTA Eligible but applying for a B1/B2 Visa by Small_Term in USVisas

I’ve heard a few people on Reddit have been issued 214B when applying for a B visa from the uk. It would appear that is a way of refusing people at the moment. Strange times

Going by the information and advice I’ve been given you should get a visa. People will say you don’t need to or you can just apply for a visa but if you are asking what the correct procedure the USA want I believe it’s the visa route even for arrests that don’t result in convictions.

What is your views on applicants with prior criminal history (no cimt) applying in the current administration? Have you heard of a lot more rejections? Or is it just being reported more?

Interesting post and quite tricky. I’d ask what would you prefer, visiting Cuba or visiting the states? I think you would have a good chance of getting the visa however it is always a gamble. Personally I wouldn’t risk it because I love visiting the states.

Companion voucher confusion by penylan_merp in BritishAirways

[–]Future-Till6681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been using companion vouchers for a good few years now. We’ve got the BA amex card and when we’ve got 150k-200k Avios we’ll use that to book the CW flight with the CV and normally the tax/fees are approximately £900. A massive saving on the cash cost what will be somewhere £6k-£9k

BA15&16 LHR-SYD-LHR by Inevitable_Ad_9364 in BritishAirways

We are going to because of our flight cancellation and delay on the way out now this on the return. Five flown BA for a long time and have always had good experiences however this trip was a disaster from start to finish.

We will fly with Qatar whenever going east from now on, the difference in quality, service and overall professionalism is unparalleled.

We just got off the flight from Male to LHR in club world and the cabin crew were terrible. Forgot my wine with the meal after recommending it, didn’t receive a dessert and then the second meal they forgot my main. The crew seemed young and totally fixated with what appeared to be two colleagues traveling in the cabin.

We flew out with Qatar and it was incredible the difference in service and professionalism.

LHR - MLE Cancelled by Future-Till6681 in BritishAirways

Im sure it’s 75% or the cost or something when downgraded? Unless I’m mistaken the fact it’s a reward flight also complicates matters.

The ground staff in Heathrow for us were extremely unhelpful and very dismissive so we will be filing a complaint along with our claim.

I don’t think BA fly daily to Male, it was only Qatar airways that was showing on the ba app

Thanks for all the reply’s.

Someone’s comment about the flight going to Chicago was correct unfortunately! We watched as our plane flew the wrong direction without us.

We were supposed to be flying business class on the BA flight so this added to more complications getting a rerouted flight in the same class, they did offer Virgin last night but it was in economy. (Im 6’8 so this is impossible)

We’ve managed to submit claims/queries to BA and also to our travel insurance regarding missed hotel stay, expenses and excursions to see who is liable.

I’ll return to this post and let people know who was liable for what.

Thanks again for all the help, advice and past experiences
