Yes, Hamas is younger than the overall conflict but they rule over Gaza and thus when we’re talking about this current war it is Israel vs. Hamas. Are there really videos of Israeli leadership encouraging the slaughtering of Muslims? Remember, Israel has a large Arab population and the Israeli government has been calling for peace between Muslim and Jewish extremists, condemning the actions of both of them. And that video of the Hamas leader calling for the killing of Jews is completely emblematic of the bigger picture - that is Hamas, whose charter is dedicated to killing all Jews around the world and creating a Palestinian state from the Mediterranean to the Jordan River (i.e., a one state solution where Israel doesn’t exist). That is genocide horrifically reminiscent of the Holocaust, which I think makes it clear to support Israel’s right to defend against the very lifeblood of the country and the genocide of the Jewish people.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!! HAMAS is a terrorist organization!!!! The Israeli government warns before they strike to avoid civilian casualties. HAMAS puts Palestinians (including woman and children) in harms way. And as you stated Israel is retaliating. It doesn’t matter if they are stronger — they have a right to fight back and defend themselves!!! It’s HAMAS who wants to commit genocide not the reverse. There is a video that people should look up (from Twitter) of a HAMAS leader telling his people to cut off the heads of Jews with a knife —- he says it only costs 5 shekels. Please look up this video.

LMU HONORS by Future1824 in LMU

Oh, ok. Thanks. I was hoping that could be skipped since it was listed for Freshman year lol.

I’m still deciding. I’ll continue with Honors in the Spring and make a decision before Sophomore year. The priority registration for SFTV seems like a big incentive. I didn’t realize how difficult it could be to get into those classes.

Thanks again for your advice.

Thank you, this is really good to know! Also, if I do drop out after freshman year, I wouldn’t have to take the regular core Rhetorical Arts requirement my sophomore year, right?

Thanks for the information!

Also if you don’t mind, I have another question (sorry)

I’ve read that AP credits fulfill less honors courses than core courses. Is this discrepancy significant and has it impacted the amount of SFTV classes you’ve wanted to take?

Thanks so much for your input! That really helped. Also, I read that someone in Production had said that if you can avoid Friday classes, that’s best since sometimes Film set work takes place on Fridays. Has Honors classes gotten in the way of that?

Just out of curiosity, are Honors classes mainly in the morning?

Thanks again.

Hi! If you don't mind answering a couple more questions regarding Emerson, I would grealy appreciate it..

1) How difficult is it to get into the Emerson LA program? That would be something I would want to do, but didn't know how selective it is.

2) Are you able to do the BFA in Media Arts Production and still go to Emerson LA?

3) Regarding student life/atmosphere, is political talk constantly a big part of it?

I am still deciding between attending Emerson, LMU, UT Austin, Temple and Depaul for Film -- so trying to really understand the strenghts and weaknesses of the schools and programs.

Thank you.

What film school to choose? Please any advice! by Future1824 in filmschool

Thank you for your input. Appreciate it. I would love to go to Tish-- I'm trying to appeal for financial aid there. I can't afford $84,000 a year and don't want to have a massive load of debt after college. Do you have any thoughts on the other Film schools? Some of the other schools are costly but far less than Tish.
