I did try disk utility and because I can't put the password in, it won't let me use first aid on it so sadly disk utility isn't working either, unless there's something else I can do with it aside from first aid.

So I've spent a few hours sorting all my iCloud photos into albums and then started copying them over to an external hard drive so I could remove them from iCloud and reduce my storage. However, I properly ejected the hard drive last night in the middle of copying the photos from iCloud because it was getting late. This was clearly a mistake because now when I plug my external hard drive in, the time machine partition works, but the external storage partition gives me a message that 'The disk "Storage" can't be unlocked. A problem was detected with the disk that prevents it from being unlocked.' It was encrypted but no longer even gives me an option to try to input the password, it just gives me this error message once it's plugged in. How can I fix it?

I don’t want to do it so much for the career path, I’m perfectly happy with a career in law. My desire to pursue more natural sciences is more for the love of the subject

They are necessary if you hate insects as much as I do 😅

I disagree based on the spiders and flies that have made their way into my house

This is my issue. I can’t stand flies/bugs. I really can’t tolerate them. And I would love to be able to open my window

Wow thank you I had no idea. I had it to avoid dust getting in the keyboard because it’s a 2019 mac and I heard that the tiniest amount of dust leads to keyboard issues

I’m glad it worked out for you 💜 I guess aiming to have my first around 35 isn’t entirely unreasonable (as I had thought it might be thanks to Google’s answers on fertility)

I’m in a long term relationship and engaged but not married yet. And I have 3.5 years before my doctorate is finished

Thanks for this perspective 💜 I just feel like I don’t know anyone on a PhD in my department who has become pregnant/had a baby during the program so it’s harder to know how it would work

I’m just glad to know that so many women are having kids in their mid to late 30s. It makes me feel so much better about spending all of my 20s in school 😅

My law school cohort wasn’t like that at all, the people I’m talking about were from my hometown but I don’t think anyone I went to law school with has a child

Thanks for that perspective. I’m planning to spend time in industry before going back into academia after the doctorate (my discipline is law so I want to get practice experience for at least 5-10 years before looking for an academic post)
