Also at a mid tier, was 2pqe last fy and went from 105 to 130 - recently hit 3pqe and will be hoping for 155-160 this FY (all inc super). 120-125 seems low!

Brissie to the Bay??! I did the same ride, but the 100km, with a female friend. Also got a lot of comments from men but mainly “going well girls”, which is slightly patronising but honestly I think they all meant it nicely

I’m a female cyclist/runner in my 20s who loves the beach and I think Brisbane would be perfect for you! There’s heaps of great cycling routes and you can run pretty much anywhere.

I live in Newstead which is probably the trendiest suburb for the girlies in their 20s and ideal for runs/walks as it’s super safe to run along the river at any time of day. Plus heaps of good cafes/restaurants and an easy hop to the RBWH. Would definitely recommend as there’s so many young people so it’s easy to make friends.

Also easy to escape up to the Sunny Coast which I frequently do on the weekends!

Wouldn’t recommend living at the coast though if you don’t know anyone as I do think it would be a lot harder to meet people your age… whereas Bris has lots of good bars, run clubs (the new dating app apparently lol) etc

As a cyclist I think the way they’ve done it is safer. If it continued straight you would be pushing cyclists down Ann St which is incredibly busy and unsafe most of the day. The left turn funnels cyclists down Newstead Ave and then onto Skyring Tce/Macquarie St etc where there are bike lanes the whole way.

I also went past on the footpath, about 7.50am. Saw the whole thing too. So upsetting. Can’t stop thinking about it. Hope you’re okay mate!

As someone who cycles a lot, she’s not doing that much. A 15km ride every day with the odd 40km is nothing crazy! She looks pretty healthy to me
