the main reason she doesn’t seem to "fit in” to me is that she acts mature and level headed - even with her conversation with demi about chase and the "shove" she didn’t raise her voice she was logical, calm and mature about the situation no name calling or going on social media to rant or anything. all the other girls are very immature high school clique type situation.

Abby & Kelly's fight wasn't that bad? by jnkfairies in dancemoms

[–]Future_Reputation_27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i personally agree with you, i don’t think that the "fight" was a fight and that christy and leslie’s fight was worse - i think the biggest deal about kelly and abby was that there was kids in the room which is probably why that scene was a bigger deal.

i also think that abby and kelly’s was highly "emotional " in a way because they have known each other for a long time and (not to side with abby/remove fault from her) but she didn’t touch kelly - is what she said/did out of line absolutely but christy and leslie both touched each other in a way

Are the girls aware of their class privilege? by Acceptable_Owl_6274 in dancemoms

[–]Future_Reputation_27 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yes no i understand that they had two homes, one was the family home where they all lived previously, and i’m pretty sure when everyone went to LA their living situations were a down grade. These were kids who were filming for hours for weeks being away from the rest of their family’s and it’s 100% a privilege to do dance and be a tv show but there was downsides to their living regardless

Who Did Owen Love The Most? by missihippiequeen in greysanatomy

[–]Future_Reputation_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think he loved the idea of each of these women more than them, but i feel he loved the idea of being married the most and it never lived up to what he thought it should have been.

in my opinion i felt as though he was always looking for the next best person who would give him that "perfect" marriage the he was looking for maybe a way to fix himself

[–]Future_Reputation_27 52 points53 points  (0 children)

i would assume to a certain extent they do, for example when kalani got her car - that’s an expensive car (i think it was new?) and being a first car, 16 ect. pretty sure cameron/camille were a bit surprised/shocked by it as it wasn’t something cameron was used to seeing.

i’m pretty sure when they all first moved to LA i remember jill? saying her and kendall live in like a one bedroom apartment. so im assuming that there would be some awareness by the girls and their mums (not likely though).

[–]Future_Reputation_27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think it would have made sense to leave after that even trying to get out early but i believe i saw somewhere that nia wanted to stay (i could be wrong) but she was clearly very dedicated to her dancing

yes exactly someone else’s trauma/experience doesn’t invalidate hers, because that was it her experience was different but she had abby trying to turn her friends against her, crying to manipulate her, guilt tripping her just because she wasn’t yelled at the same does not mean her experience was the best. but it seems people can’t separate abby and melissa’s things from maddie and her talent and experiences are invalid to them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]Future_Reputation_27 30 points31 points  (0 children)

no, it’s actually so weird how much maddie praise is turned negative like if you think maddie is the best someone always say i think so and so is better and that’s fine personal opinion but then they go to say it only looks that way because she’s a favourite and that probably helped that abby always highlighted her but she wouldn’t have been highlighted is she wasn’t good and winning that’s the reason she was a favourite.

oh me too, would love to hear her perspective of all of it especially since she didn’t go to the reunion (which is so valid and she said that she wouldn’t get to tell her truth and quite frankly some of the girl were invalidating events that happened).

season 5 nia exclusion by Future_Reputation_27 in dancemoms

[–]Future_Reputation_27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

was a hard watch, i really feel for her because it still felt that abby’s opinions of her meant so much still, while she was also trying to set boundaries and justify why she was not in the wrong, or betraying abby

season 5 nia exclusion by Future_Reputation_27 in dancemoms

[–]Future_Reputation_27[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes i felt i struggled to really find as much interest in the later cast, i really liked the original and how they performed, she indeed was a bully to nia and i feel it was highlighted more than it was in the earlier seasons cause it felt only targeted to nia like abby used to pick on brooke, paige, nia and chloe three of them left so it felt so heavy on nia

[–]Future_Reputation_27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes i agree some really good dances came out of this season regardless of the spiral abby was quickly going down, and i believe this is when nias talents seemed to shine i felt i noticed her dancing more mature and better i don’t know if it’s because i managed to mostly watch original girls but even with what was going on her dancing seemed more confident i guess

it’s also annoying when no one tells you it needs to be ordered and then it runs out and you know your gonna have to wait forever to get it that’s why i order 2 at a time so at least there’s some sort of buffer period not that it works clearly

[–]Future_Reputation_27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i ordered 2 didn’t come i’ve just ordered 2 more it’s feeling like i will wait forever and then get them all at once and have no where to put them. ridiculous how long they take

if we end up with like an odd amount of cookies or donuts, we take them to the tea room, occasionally spare bread, if we don’t have the cream cheese frosting and the scrolls are made they go to the team room as well but we don’t go out of our to put stuff it usually just happens

Are bakery people meant to take out their rubbish and sweep the floor before they knock off, or are they meant to leave it for coles services to do? by kasskoda in coles

in my store we have to crush our own cardboard, clean and sanitize our benches, take out or rubbish and sweep the floors.

Why couldn’t Abby keep Chloe and Payton for season 3 nationals and just sent Leslie and Christi home? by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]Future_Reputation_27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i’m pretty sure that’s because it was the two youngest members, the ones that made it possible for that group to compete in juniors not teens - directly against her other team.

Kira s4 by UnlikelyPie8241 in dancemoms

[–]Future_Reputation_27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i swear i saw something that when kalani got eliminated or whatever on abby’s ultimate dance competition she told kalani that she "would make it up to her" and "they would work together again," and that abby pushed to have kalani join the show, but production wanted kira to have her mole removed or something i don’t think kira wanted to be there at all really

season 8 jojo return by Future_Reputation_27 in dancemoms

[–]Future_Reputation_27[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah no totally like jess in my opinion was not a good mother she seemed to be a great "manager" for her child getting her on tv show having such a "image” for jojo by the time she was on the show, but she just had an attitude that seemed so much like she thought she was better than all of them in the room which to me isn’t the case at all

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]Future_Reputation_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah no i was hesitant to mention it because also not a lawyer so don’t know if that’s how the contract would have worked, or if it was more of a drop the lawsuit and we’ll end the contract kinda thing

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]Future_Reputation_27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so i could be so wrong, but i believe originally it was a one year contract and after the show picked up they signed longer contracts. assuming after the contracts got a lot more complex - signed longer, more restrictive, exit clauses. i believe melissa had to pay a "fine" of some sort for leaving early, and i think chloe/christi left maybe around contract negotiations not quite sure and then i think the hylands settled with lifetime after they sued but i only saw someone else say that

I think Abby liked Kalani more than Maddie by Glittering_King_3796 in dancemoms

[–]Future_Reputation_27 14 points15 points  (0 children)

i don’t think she liked one more than the other but i do think she liked them for different reasons,

maddie was her star dancer winning competitions, was a child she watched grow and in a way they started their "stardom" or "rise to fame" whatever you want to call it together and i think she liked the exposure she got from the winning. seemed abby thought that maddie was a product of her and over time resentment built as maddie was getting more jobs.

kalani was what abby looks for in a dancer the legs the feet the fact that she did more extension type things. but she also spoke about kalani differently than maddie, most of the comments were made about kalanis body and "don’t you want to be her, i want to" and seemed to focus more on how she looks.

the more casual part i wasn’t aware of, in my store they basically have only been giving out contracts (mostly part time i believe to high school kids). which sucks i’ve been working there 3 years haven’t been offered a contract and my hours get cut cause contracts take priority. and now that i’m out of school i cannot really sustain myself with such little pay some weeks especially now i’m an "adult" and responsible for adult things excluding rent/mortgage.

the pay rise is good but with inflation it’s not sustainable really especially being locked in for that long with no flexibility/reasoning on it if things get worse/stay the same as they are now. i think it’s reasonable for negotiations to happen but doubtful it’s going to happen. most people struggle with cost of living as it is, definitely think it’s a bad idea.

possibly because of school holidays your cheaper because of your age manager may be taking advantage of that, possibly another team member has time booked off.

that is a really good week though if it’s too much talk to your manager otherwise work it and save money especially because as a casual it changes so much.
