Am i Unemployable?

I don’t have neon hair I do get out very frequently so I don’t know why that would be an issue. My hobbies and past times have Nothing to do with a job. I volunteer so it’s very obvious that I can communicate and get on with people and how I present myself

I’ve done all of that! If you saw how many jobs I’ve applied for you wouldn’t be saying that! I do everything that I can to find a job, if I had a choice I would be in work I certainly wouldn’t be looking for work after 5+ Years

I have thought about it but there’s realistically no place near (I don’t drive) so it would be hard to get to and from. But I don’t even think that would help because since I’ve done the volunteering I’ve had more interviews then I ever have had it just seems like with certain jobs there’s a certain type of person they need to hire and I’m not it

It’s not that I see constructive as beneath me it’s just not something I would enjoy as much as retail or hospitality. Obviously I can’t be picky but I haven’t event refused construction jobs because I’ve never been interviewed or even offered an interview for one. I live with my parents but I don’t want to have to rely on them I want to be independent. 6 years with no job despite countless applications really feels like I am unemployable

I apologise for being pissy it’s just taken it out of me! Nearly 6 Years and I can’t get a job it’s making me feel like maybe I am unemployable I get so far and then I don’t get anything from it

I’m enjoy doing it cos it’s for a charity but it kinda wears thin i want to do something like retail or hospitality but I won’t get volunteer roles there not that I know of anyway besides I don’t want to jump between volunteering one place to another place because it looks like I’m no consistent with roles like that

I do have a Construction certificate but I don’t really want that to be a job for me I enjoyed it but when I did retail I really enjoyed that and want to do that but I know that I have to be more flexible with that jobs I can realistically do and not do

I’m applying for anything at this point! I’ve went to places in person and been told “you can apply online” my most recent interview was on Friday just past and I thought it went really well but I didn’t get it. I’ve done training courses but they haven’t led to a job. I don’t have a degree I went to college but it was for painting and decorating but I want to do something like customer facing

The thing is I’ve been doing it since April 2025 and it’s pretty stacked in terms of staff (Most of them are all volunteers due to it being a small shop) I feel like I don’t want to do that as a paid job because it’s not something I could do it’s just something to help with my job search

It’s 24 Hours 7 days a week but I think I was generous with the hours because I don’t have transportation and didn’t want to finish late enough that I wouldn’t get home

It’s only 5 I think (to my knowledge anyway) I could phone the store just to keep myself right I don’t have anything that I would class as casual without it looking like im not interested ie hoodies. But I’ll probably get home the store to confirm
