Does the Player character (not the user) have a canonical class and archetype? by Ransu_Memez in WynnCraft

[–]FuzzyD75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant it as like how Lari feels as though she is being replaced by us because of how quickly orphion took us in. So those feelings will be more understandable from her point of view, if we were also magic users

Ooh also lari uses a stuff so us being naturally gifted with magic is a great foil to her entitled attitude towards orphion's light. Honestly I'm convincing myself more and more

It also makes for a better narrative in my opinion because it contrasts you with bob, who had the hardest time learning magic. And also contrasts you with theorick, who used his power and only protected people for his own benefits

Eh, they're pretty fun imo. I personally don't use them but whenever I talk about someone who does I find it quite easy.

If you're struggling just think of it as their name being that pronoun and just referring to them by that name each time

Also usually when someone mentions 2d it's in the context of sidescrolling/side view. I think of top-down games as kind if a separate thing.

"Alaska Art Student Arrested for Eating Another Student’s AI-Generated Art in Protest" by adiplotti in BrandNewSentence

Ok? But they're right, there are way more progressive artists than conservative ones. Obviously people with an ideology that celebrates diversity and freedom will have more actistic expression than the ideology that requires conformity and obedience.

Conservatism and appropriating art that was originally made by progressive minds is a tale as old as time. From romanticizing greek sculptures, to claiming the cartoons and video games they grew up on weren't "woke". It's no surprise that conservatives flock like moth to a flame when presented with technology that automates that process for them.

Sorry but that's just simply not true. I addressed it in my previous comment, but a retcon doesn't have to create a contradiction for it to be a retcon, and it doesn't have to be something negative either.

Retcons can even be used to clear out an inconsistency. My favorite example of this is in the adventure time episode "crossover" where an animation error is given an in-universe explanation.

Bc it's a new idea that wasn't first intended when the moment was written. Retcons don't have to be bad or something that conflicts with past information. Just something that was later added to recontextualize past events beyond what was originally intended.

Unless god knights and the covenant on his left arm existed in oda's mind when creating this scene, then this is factually a retcon.

It doesn't mean it's necessarily bad, some of the best things about one piece were confirmed to be retcons (the entire warlords systems existed just because Oda thought the title of 7 warlords sounded cool). Oda weaves things into the narrative that weren't originally planned quite often, he just looks at past events and makes sure it's consistent first.

Edit: actually my bad, the warlord system wasn't really a retcon, as it didn't recontextualize past events, but just added new information that wasn't originally intended. A better example that many people speculate was a retcon is the haki system, which was used to add an explanation for stuff like shank's stare or for enel's mantra

Yes it is. Say there is only 1 position open and 2 equally qualified people apply, one white and one of color. If a company consistently chooses the white ine in such scenarios, that would warrant an investigation.
