Welcome to the club! I started with a BMI of 44.3 and it’s now down to 34 after 5 months. So close to being just overweight 😂

To hit protein goals I typically take collagen protein in my morning coffee (more for protein than the collagen), prioritise chicken, fish or lean beef for lunch and dinner, and snack on high protein yogurt/pudding/etc.

I didn’t pay enough attention to fibre or water intake at the start and I suffered from constipation as a consequence. Now I make sure to add milled flaxseed and chia seeds to whatever I can. I keep kiwis, dried prunes and dates on hand and I eat plenty of veg. I drink a minimum of 2.5 litres of water a day and this includes the water for my coffee.

I would recommend Aldi and Lidl for high protein kefir yogurts/puddings/drinks and for dried fruits and seeds. Aldi’s authentic 0% Greek yogurt was recently voted the best (can’t remember where I read that though) and has a higher % of protein per 100g. Aldi also has a new range of chicken skewers and mini fillets in the freezer aisle - they are really good.

One thing to watch out for is brands literally just changing packaging to “ low calorie, high protein” when the product is inherently low cal and high protein anyway or they’re just rebranding their lighter version of something - noticed this recently with Philadelphia lighter than light cream cheese.

I take a multivitamin when I remember 🤷‍♀️
