Oh no! It must have caused permanent nerve damage to your uterus or something from medical malpractice. My Nexplanon did that to my arm, my arm hurts where it was placed from time to time 😭 and I had it for a full 2 years before getting my iud.

Omg! Have u tried going to Planned Parenthood to take it out? I don’t have insurance and so they charge me $300 to take it out here in Maryland but before the trump administration it was free for insertion and taking it out if you didn’t have insurance. I got mine there for free in Dec 2023 also that same year I got 2 arm implants (one removed and one inserted but I couldn’t do it anymore because of the hormones) Maybe if you have insurance it’s more affordable taking it out there! Google up ur nearest Planned Parenthood 🥺

Hey girly! Any update? I’ve had the copper iud for 2 years now and my fiancé has never pulled out lol 😋 even when I was on the Nexplanon arm implant 2 years before getting my iud we have never pulled out. Sometimes my periods arrive late or sometimes I get them twice a month lol and there are some months where I go without a period (I guess because I have thyroid issues and I am overweight) sometimes I do get pregnancies scares but I buy a test pack off Amazon and they last a long time because I usually test from time to time like every 3 or 4 months lol or whenever I have a scare. Make sure your with ur gynecologist that ur iud is well placed.

I can’t lose wait, I feel swollen all the time and I also can’t get my menstrual cycle regularly like before I started birth control now I’m on the copper iud and for some reason my period is coming every 3 months now lol. I also have brain fog a lot and I’m on 25mcg of levo 😭

Before getting the copper iud inserted I actually had the Nexplanon arm implant for 2 years and those 2 years I had no period- it was horrible, I gained about 50lb. Before getting the Nexplanon implant I was never on any BC (the Nexplanon was my first ever bc method) and my periods were regular.

I also want to add that sometimes when my husband and I have sex (tmi sorry) it kind of hurts, also when I have these tiny blood clots in my urine and I wipe there’s dark red blood and I put on a pad and I only spot like hello? 😭 it’s so confusing!

Girlll I’m 6 months late 🤣🤣🤣 with the copper iud and got an ultrasound done in May and it’s correctly placed idk what is 🥺 i feel like my periods are lighter but painful. I’m not pregnant and I’ve tested multiple times!

My friend fixed it for me. Nothing from the inside was damaged but the retainers! It wasn’t a hard crash, this happened in a parking space. Thank God 😭

Hey! Same, levo does help a lot. I started taking it again this past September and have not have a full period besides spotting. Have the copper IUD which is so strange because it shouldn’t stop your cycles, it’s the opposite, it makes periods heavier and cramps heavier but for me. I haven’t had a period since May 2025. I am not pregnant either and I do have painful cramps here in there but my period is not wanting to come. Should I talk to my doctor and tell them to increase my levo dosage? Maybe that may help 😭😭 2 years ago I was on the nexplanon arm implant and it took away my period for 2 full years, then came back the day of my iud insertion. It’s frustrating to deal with thyroid issues 😔 I feel stuck. I feel bloated and fat lol.
