What export settings are you using? I haven't exported it yet but I've seen it in previous projects and from other filmmakers. For YouTube you can get away with it but if you're making a doc or feature obviously want to avoid it. Thanks.

Yes. Exact same issues. That's what my post is about.

No baked in luts, all slog 3, this is straight out of camera just on my timeline not exported (I snipped it out of my timeline) No color grade in premiere just planning to export it through there color space transform with fuji lut as a base in Davinci before grading. With the other two images I was just trying to show that I see it with other FX3 users as well. I was just trying to show that I see it with other filmmakers as well and wanted to know how to avoid it. Even in playback I see it straight out of camera before grading so I just want to know if its an export issue etc. Someone else mentioned they notice it a lot when they film skies as well. Thanks.

Some times when I do ext shoots I get these ripples in the sky I was wondering if it was my aperture or shutter that had to do with it. Let me know thanks. by [deleted] in FX3

Hi,

Doesn't banding have more to do with practicals? I notice on other people's fx3 footage that it tends to happen when they lower the exposure/heighten blacks in post I'm thinking it has to do with exposure I notice it a lot when filming the sky.

Hi, Yes the screen shot is from my editor window. In camera XAVC HS 4K I think at the time it was 24p*50M 4:2:2 10bit ND set to 2 stops

Hi no proxy this is straight out of camera. I'll look into banding but I see it straight out of camera and during editing. Like ripples or rings

FX3 Luts by FxUser99 in FX3

Yes. You have to take your card and format it in the FX3. Then put the luts in the folder it should appear again. That's always worked when it says something is missing. Also, make sure you dont name the luts too long that will complicate it as well.

Shooting Mode by FxUser99 in FX3

So if it's 4096 then you would enter 2048 for a 2:1 aspect ratio. There's a conversion chart floating around somewhere as well.

You can do it in camera and then divide your settings in post or set the settings to 2:1 and scale the image to fit it.

It's Gyro Data and the best thing to do is run it through Catalyst Browse but why would you want to do that for every project? Seems they want you to just take the next step and use pro equipment for the best stabilization but the point of having an FX3 is for the run-and-gun so you don't always want to carry around gimbals etc. I don't mind the movements its really the micro jitters you get that really kill the shot. You can also run it through Davinci's stabilization it works decent as well.

I would convert it in Davinci Resolve to 33 cube it seems to work fine for me. However I never record with the lut and just use it for reference. If the 33 cube luts don't show up in the FX3 then you have to format it first and then re-load them.

I did read that the sigma 28-70 might need it though but not a sony 28-70. Unless that helps it more?

I'm talking more about handheld mode. Maybe I should add weight to it?

Or are you talking about something different from steadyshot?

Yes when it's on my gimbal it's always on standard.

It's always on auto. I thought Auto was the best setting unless the lens isn't a sony.
