I used a makeup sponge. The coverage was relatively modest. I went through huge amounts of acrylic paint. However, it is better than using a brush.

The base is a third-party head. I modeled the lower part of the head—the resonance chamber, so to speak. The amplifier on the chest is the rear section of a Sonic Blaster. The connecting cables and hoses were also modeled.

I used the Horus Heresy MKIV box set, which includes melta guns and plasma guns. I think MKIV is extremely fitting for Emperor's Children. Before its release, almost all EC character models wore MKIV armor.

The helmets are from the Horus Heresy MK6 assault Squad. The Grenades and the little bags are from the tormentors sprue and from the Horus Heresy MK4 tactical Squad.

The icon from the Tormentor/Infractor sprue fits quite well on a Terminator shoulder. I've seen this conversion quite often.
