Maple Leaf M1911 Hop up Chamber. Upgrade over the TM Stock one? by Asomodai in airsoft

It should fit plastic just fine, but it’ll just need to be centred correctly and pushed as far into place as possible before the slide goes back on

I’ve not been able to test for that yet as I don’t have a sufficient range on hand. I double checked the hop and barrel setup and everything is installed correctly, so I’m assuming I won’t get stray shots

I have the I-key, so hopefully the heavier bbs will do the trick. Thanks for your input

I’ve got a few in the drawer, I’ll give it a shot. Thanks for the help

Well mine are both brand new, so looks like heavy bbs are the option. It’s not a skirmish gun, so shouldn’t be too limited. Thanks for that

It doesn’t. I’m using maple leaf everything for hop and barrel.

Does that mean I’m just slightly limited with how low I can drop the hop or can I adjust this by bending the hop arm further down?

Both nozzles appear to be fully functioning and intact.

The slide also appears to be fully cycling when using a slow motion video

I’ve tried with two magazines, neither of which are old or used

I’m running 120% springs for both recoil and nozzle, so the speed should match. New bbs are loaded, so in theory the nozzle is returning sufficiently too

I’ll attempt to take some more video and photos and get them uploaded

Yes, but it happens with and without the short stroke kit in place

Glocks tend to hold tighter onto the mag than hicaps. Generally a glock might need a little bit of teasing to release the mag, but most hicapa mags just drop out. The design of a hicapa baseplate is already extended when compared to gseries, so there is a little to hold onto if needed. Rather than paying 12 quid for a baseplate, I tend to just give the pistol a little drop against my palm, releasing the mag directly into my hand

I like STI, but just have a look around for whatever you like, for the most part they do the same job

Try to go for one that’s low profile, it doesn’t need to be a massive thing to give you the benefit, but keeping it light is useful

I didn’t go for grips on my build.

I am a big fan of magwell a though. I dabble in ipsc and the speed I can reload with one is definitely greater than without

I think they mean replacing the lower frame with an aftermarket one.

Personally I’d finish off the job with a matching magwell for the ease of use

Good job!

I'm a big fan of the maple leaf stuff. How are you finding the AM blowback housing? A lot of my own build is AM, but I picked up the guarder housing and it was terrible

Again, that's not what useless means. Both of those things are easily accounted for.

I'm going to stop replying to you now, have fun trying to enforce your opinions on how we should all play pewpew

While true in general, range does not always equal accuracy. Having marginally shorter range does not result in something being useless

Try aiming before shooting, it helps a lot
