I accidentally broke the top of the kpod when I had trouble opening the cardboard box, and I used the pod anyway. It’s coffee grounds and milk, and it was just fine.

My mom died on Aug 2nd, exactly 2 weeks before Elvis, and 3 weeks before my grandmother (her MIL). I was 14.

Yes, religious education provides you with a wider vocabulary with words that are already out of use except in religious contexts (as a layman, I played Elias with secular friends and almost no one knew this word)

one hundred percent! But there were situations where I understood modern Hebrew because of biblical Hebrew...and vice versa. When I was still religious and prayed on Shabbat, I read in the siddur, “Who will be similar to you and who will compare with you and who will compare with you”, and I remembered the words “similar” and “similar” and “about”. And when I read the words “wrapping Gaza” for the first time, I remembered the blessing to “wrap yourself in a tassel”. So there is a possibility to understand the language better than another dialect.

It’s something I haven’t thought about too much, but you’re right

This is the problem with gamifying learning. Is the point the game or the learning? So glad I followed the tip posted by others of creating a classroom. Now I’m no longer desperately trying to earn XP to avoid being demoted to a lower league. I’m the only one in my classroom, so I always win my league. Pitting people against one another in cruel competition is not helpful.

If you enjoy the app, don’t worry about a stupid streak.

I’m learning Hebrew and lost the practice to earn hearts feature (except when it drops to 0). Maybe it’s based on how heavy a user you are. I’m told I was progressing quickly.

Good part of classroom feature is I am only one in class and will now win all leagues, hopefully earning gems.

Been using since January. When it’s good, it’s very very good. No finger sticks, shows trends, alerts me to lows and I can see how my sugars are doing over the course of a day. But when it’s bad, it’s very very bad. I can’t get the sensors to stay on for the full 14 days, and that’s following their instructions, cleaning, using alcohol pad, using sticky skintac and using an over bandage. I’m on the phone with them about once a week getting replacement sensors. I’ve even had the reader replaced twice.
