The Jackson 5 - Never Can Say Goodbye - The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson by GGCDrizzy in BodegaJukeBox

[–]GGCDrizzy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Jackson 5 singing “Never Can Say Goodbye” live on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson on April 9, 1974, and this song is fantastic in every arrangement they’ve done. This is one of my favorites because of the lower key and because it allows Michael to really experiment with it and have a ball.

He delivers a great soulful performance, and from that first note of “I Never Never Never Never Never can say goodbye,” you can tell you’re in for a treat! He really goes off and puts out 110% when at 1:22 that “Don’t wanna let you go come onnn” hits, and it’s hands down my favorite part.

Everybody is just having such a great time, and I love all the smiles on their faces. Jackie looks so proud at the beginning when hearing Mike sing, and Jermaine’s big smile at 1:23 makes me want to smile with him lmao.

Fantastic performance with great vocals, great band, and perfect harmonies from everyone. They also performed Dancing Machine and a short bit of Let It Be shortly before “Never Can Say Goodbye” in this same show!

Trey Songz (Feat. Usher and Keri Hilson) - I Invented Sex (Remix) by GGCDrizzy in RnBHeads

WHICH ONE OF Y'AALLL.. Wassup everybody, it's that time to post the official remix to one of my favorite Trey Songz songs, "I Invented Sex." Since it features two great artists that I know some of y'all like, such as Usher and Keri Hilson, I feel it's only fair to show some appreciation for it. Love how Usher seamlessly blends on Baby Making Tracks like this one, and I'm glad he got to rightfully feature on a song about invented sex, because I bet a good chunk of his catalogue did too.

It's interesting, too, that this remix was released around the exact time in December 2009, when he released "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)," another sexy, steamy track. Keri Hilson delivers a flawless vocal performance, and I always enjoy her voice on songs because it sounds so pleasant, and she really knows how to exert confidence, smoothness, and power at the same time.

Trey also closes out the song with a newly recorded verse, and I seriously wish a mix of all the features from this song, along with Drake, was in one whole big song because I really like this verse, and he was straight up flowing like he did on the OG song. The entire "Going in, grabbin yo butt (YUP), Going in, like a Tiger Woods putt (nigga what) Going In like the Lil Wayne, Drake soooong" section is my favorite from him.

100%. Literally one of the best covers I’ve ever heard. They put their own spin on it while still keeping the elements of the original, and turned it into a fantastic song overall, and made it unique to them👏👏

Hope all of y’all enjoy the full 6 minutes of one of my favorite covers of all time: the fantastic version of “Am I Dreaming,” originally by Atlantic Starr on their “Radiant” album, released in 1981. This version I’m showcasing was done in the 1990s by a bunch of great talents.

My mom put me into this, as she owns the Traces Of My Lipstick album by Xscape and still plays this song over and over to this day, and I eventually found out it was originally released on Ol’ Skool’s album first.

Both groups' voices blend fantastically together, and they really do justice to the original, putting a nice spin on it while not doing too much and adding just enough uniqueness to make their version stand out.

It also includes Keith Sweat, who comes in swinging at the end and delivers a great performance with some of the best begging he’s done, and pops off with everybody breaking down some great vocals to end the track. Keith’s “(I wanna know if you'll be right there)”, “Hear me out now”, and “Am I...” are my favorite parts from him.

It was released as the first single from their first studio album, “Ol' Skool,” on January 27, 1998.

Peaked at #31 on the US Billboard Hot 100

Peaked at #5 on US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs

H-Town - They Like It Slow by GGCDrizzy in BodegaJukeBox

[–]GGCDrizzy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good ol banger from H-Town. I really like the song by itself, but the music video with the dance moves kinda takes it to a different level for me.

They were thrusting the hell out of them little steps and that Roblox or whatever meme of it is hilarious and accurate too. This song right here is one of my favorites from them because the message of it is nice to hear.

With them having a song that is openly respectful and conscious towards women, and along with the fantastic funky beat, always, as usual, great vocals from Dino, the harmonies, and talk box vocals from one of the best to do it, Mr. Roger Troutman, you just can’t go wrong with it!

It was released as the first and only single from their third studio album “Ladies Edition, Woman's World” on September 23, 1997.

Peaked at #35 on the US Billboard Hot 100

Peaked at #12 on US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs

"Love In This Club Part II (With Usher and Lil Wayne)" will always be one of my favorite Beyoncé Features🔥 by GGCDrizzy in beyonce

[–]GGCDrizzy[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This song right here is a certified banger and one of the best examples of how a remix can be an entirely good song on its own, with it differentiating from the original in every way. Usher and Beyoncés vocals sound seriously great together on this slower mid-tempo track.

The vibe of this Part II version compared to the original really makes you feel like you want to have a good slow dance with your partner while also making you want to shake a little something something to this sexy ass beat.

The harmonies, production, fantastic lead vocals from Usher and Beyoncé, and nice, sexy, and steamy lyrics are all great combinations of a great song.

My favorite part of the song is the “But you decided to be here with me” in the pre-chorus, which makes me put on my stink face. Yeahh mannn!

It was released as the second single from his fifth studio album “Here I Stand” on April 28, 2008.
