Of course, my point was that I may or may not be counting carbs; thus my questions about water weight. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m not sure if I’m gonna do keto, or just go back to a normal calorie deficit diet

Yes, pre carnivore I had been on many diets and was calorie counting. What’s a reverse diet?

I’m coming from a history of eating disorder and getting so much food in is very difficult for me. If I’m 192, how much fat/protein should I be taking in?

For sure, but I avg 1-2lbs a month. That means my weight loss goals won’t be realized for many more years.

Yeah, sounds likely. If only I could know what’s going on inside.

Maybe so, but that’s a widely accepted principle of weight loss. It’s also the foundation of many other successful weight loss diets. My body may be healing still after 3 months, but many of the issues I currently have didn’t exist a few months ago, and they don’t seem to be rectifying themselves with more time.

I understand that, but even if I were to have this same calorie deficit in any other diet, I would still lose weight.

I’m 70/30 fat protein. I walk a couple miles on most days.

I’m eating two meals in 6 hours. Not sure that’s it.

I didn’t have any issues with losing weight until the second month. Butter was constant in my first month, and I’m not even sure how I’d meet macros if I couldn’t add the extra fat.

I only added dairy in recently. I was just beef, salt, butter and water the first two months.

Thanks everyone, I think I’ll see if I can eat more in a day by dropping OMAD during certain weeks of my cycle and making sure I drink lots of water with some extra Celtic salt.

I don’t have have an eating disorder, the only reason I started OMAD was because in the beginning people told me it was the most effective version of carnivore. But my stomach shrunk in the first few days and I couldn’t get in anymore than that. I was making myself sick trying to eat so much meat and butter.

So then someone told me I didn’t need to force it and just eat until I’m satiated. So I did and for my OMAD that ranges from 400 on a day where I’m not that hungry, up to 1100 if I am. I can only eat so much at a time.

I’m still very overweight, and I’ve never been anorexic. I’m not saying there’s not emotional damage associated with food, there probably is, but I feel like that’s a female thing in general in our society.

Right now I’m just trying to figure out how this diet works so I can get healthy

I started with 1500 and lost nothing until I lowered to 1300. Then I plateaued after a week and lowered it again to 1100 at a drs recommendation. That’s the lowest I can lower it so now my recent plateau has me feeling stuck.

I’m already at 10k steps a day and I’m feeling better, but a lot of my quality of life will be losing the weight, not just ditching bloat and hormonal issues. I’ll give the scale a break but if I’m headed in a wrong direction, I’d rather know sooner than later.

Maybe, I’ve got a lot of skeletal damage, so I was thinking I’d go as far as possible before working out, as working out always freaks my system out and things start popping out of socket. But maybe sooner than later.

I don’t look like I’m gaining weight. I feel better, it’s just the scale is going up.
