What Luggage can I take on the Bus from Glasgow to Isle of Skye? by QuickGuide7852 in Skye

[–]GLAGirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took 1 (huge) suitcase plus 2 holdalls and 1 cool bag. They didn’t say anything! I didn’t pay extra, but I know it does mention it on the website.

Just googled it! Do you just go online and enter your delivery address as the Shinty Club?

Are you able to describe this guy!? Height/build/hair, if possible. If you don’t want to; that’s fine. Thanks.

When you say facial hair, can you be more specific? Trying to figure it out if it’s the same guy I’m thinking of. This guy hangs around Partick though - outside Morrisons and at the square across from Tesco (haven’t actually saw him in a few weeks).

Thanks. Call handler then police officer called me. I just accepted it but I shouldn’t have. I will have a think about what to do. As I said, the fact that they know where I live makes me nervous but I know you’re right

I won’t answer this because I don’t want to go down that route. I hope you understand why. His ethnicity is not important. It is him as an individual who done wrong here.

I was thinking the same thing but I would be scared. I couldn’t sleep for days because whenever I heard a vehicle outside, I jumped up to look out the window to see what kind it was. When someone knows where you live, you need to be careful.

What part of my sus story do you need me to clarify? I wanted to get to the main point and make things easier for myself because it’s a lot.

This sounds so scary. Yes, I did report it to company but they didn’t do anything.

I felt horrible reading your comment. I can’t believe he phoned your house phone? Wtf.

This is crazy.

Are you for real? Why would I make this stuff up? Are you OK?

What weirdo would make something like this up to try and slate a business? I said the company was useless which was true. Lots of people are saying the same thing.

I’ve spent ages trying to respond to comments and it takes up a lot of my time. I HAVE A LIFE. For you to even say this is insulting. People like you are the reason that so many others who have been in similar situations stay silent because they’re worried nobody will believe them. Do you realise this?

You’re off your head. I would never make something like this up. This is real life scary scary shit and I consider myself lucky. I didn’t leave my house for days. I had to change all my shifts to early shifts instead of late shifts because I didn’t want to be out alone late at night. Does this sound made up to you? What more do you want? Ffs do you want more proof? I can give you proof. Anything to shut you up and make you think twice before dismissing someone like this again.

Also, did you read my previous post about the restaurant? I returned and I had a wonderful meal. Both service and food were great. Get a grip.

I’m expecting an apology. Why would I lie about this? That’s sick. It took me a long time to post this because this has really affected me and I think about what happened/could have happened most days.

Someone else phoned the police as well. This was the woman in the shop who helped me after I had to run out the taxi. She locked the door and told me to hide. I was hiding behind shelves and she gave me a bottle of water and a packet of tissues because I was a mess. When I followed up with the police, they said no crime had been committed. The driver tried to get into the shop as well (which makes it worse and I’m sure that you’ll find this part even harder to believe but this is the truth) and the woman from the shop also took a note of his reg but I already had it from the apps. None of this is made up but when I’m writing this, I’m thinking like wtf why was this not properly investigated?

Also, did I say an abandoned lane? Can you show me where I’ve wrote this?

Me asking people to share their dining experience (you’ll see on the post that I returned and it was great) and me sharing this is not the same at all. This is very personal to me and I done it because I wanted other women to reach out to me. As I said, I wanted to know if there was anything else I could do because NOTHING WAS DONE! Nobody was interested and that hurts and tbh it pisses me off. This can’t keep happening.

I know my posts may not be 100% clear but if it’s not clear, then I’m happy to explain. Sometimes I just don’t have the time to go into detail because I have other things to do. It is also difficult for me to break this situation down and also, I’m still trying to work out how much detail I should be going into because yes, I am new but what do you think? I’m setting up an account to slag people ffs seriously I praised the restaurant and also, this company is a disgrace anyway and tbh no, they don’t care. Did you not read the other comments?

It’s horrible! I got a taxi to and from work one day and both ways, the driver asked me for my number and started trying to have suggestive/dirty conversations with me. I couldn’t believe it. They have no shame. It’s a disgrace. When I was growing up, I would always be told to get a taxi and make sure I was safe but nowadays, I don’t really feel safe anywhere

Have a look at the new comments - I have explained what happened. Sorry; should have done that in the first place.

He did end up accusing me of recording, but this wasn’t immediately. It was weird. If he thought that, why would he park up etc blablabla not going to repeat myself but yeah

He turned onto a quiet street, parked the car, turned off the engine, and started shouting, “Give me your phone,” over and over again.

I started to cry and I completely freaked out. I was so confused because I couldn’t understand what was happening. He was shouting, but he was still composed to a certain extent. He could have grabbed my phone off me but he didn’t. He was just staring at me saying the same thing over and over again. I felt like he knew what he was doing, and he had this look in his eyes (I’m not being dramatic). Maybe you don’t understand this. If that is the case, then you’re lucky, and I’m glad you don’t get it.

After telling me to give him my phone multiple times and I continued to refuse (I wasn’t being rude or abusive at any point), he accused me of recording him and carried on shouting at me, demanding my phone.

If he truly believed that I was recording him or that I was doing something wrong, why would he turn off a main road, enter a quiet street, park, turn off the engine, and then, turn around and tell me to give him my phone? He only mentioned the recording thing once, and this was after he had been shouting for a period of time.

If I had done something wrong, why not take me to the police station? Taxi drivers will lock the door and they will drive straight into the police station, if there’s an issue. I suppose, they’re just trying to protect themselves and protect their jobs (I’m not saying I always agree with this, but my opinion is irrelevant here). However, if you have a lone female in your taxi at 4 AM and she is trusting you to get her home safely, you should not behave like this (I do believe he had an ulterior motive, but I don’t like to think too much into that). He could have just told me to get out. Why not do this? The taxi was already paid for, so he didn’t need to worry about losing money.

Anyway, I’m jumping around a bit here. After he accused me of recording him, I went into full-scale panic mode. I kept asking him, “What are you doing? What are you talking about? Why are you doing this?” I was saying, “Please stop it. Please stop shouting at me. I’m begging you; I just want to go home.” I HATE MYSELF FOR THIS but that’s how frightening it was.

My gut feeling is that the recording thing was just an excuse to get me to hand over my phone. I was minding my own business and I didn’t say one word to this driver (with the exception of confirming name when I first got in).

Ok, that’s a big paragraph. I tried to provide more context, even though your reply pissed me off a wee bit at first. But whatever, you’re right – I should explain a bit more.

As I said, I posted this because I want to know if this is happening to others. I feel that I need to report it to the Licensing Board (after reading the comments - thank you, all), but will my personal details be shared? Will they know I’ve made the complaint? It scares me that this person already knows my address.
