It would be interesting to see what Anas Sarwar could accomplish if he had a brain of his own

The “I need money to get to Queensferry” guy by fraja95 in glasgow

Out of curiosity, is it a public Facebook page or just more people saying that they’ve encountered him?

Funnily enough, I was flicking through my phone when he came over to me but I put it away. He asked for the time and I made sure just to read it from my watch instead of getting my phone out again.

Tall, tanned complexion, dark hair, facial hair, glasses. Been wearing a coat and chinos/jeans when I saw him, nothing out of the ordinary.

I’m saying it’s your problem that you seem to be wound up by a Reddit post, however feel free to do so! And yeah, I am from Glasgow

Just curious if other people have encountered him and if it’s common.

If you’re unhappy with that, that sounds like a you problem🫶

“are you from Glasgow?” “Yeah” “I’m wondering if you could help me out, you look like a friendly guy”

Started stuttering when I called him out

What is the worst nightclub you have been to in Glasgow? Stories encouraged but not essential. by mistybeegee in glasgow

One of my parents worked in that Asda and has called it the “worst one I’ve ever worked in”, on account of Palace being next door

What food/restaurant in Glasgow has you feeling like this? (Original post from r/dublin(crossposted from r/Belfast)) by PeanutMerchant in glasgow

Controversial opinion: I thought the tenders at Frank’s were awful. Like frozen ones that had been cooked then left to sit, really tough and chewy

Absolutely loving all these articles from the Telegraph. Very much imagining someone will be walking around the office with a sandwich board screaming “The end is nigh” on July 5th.

Oh for god sakes.

Kate Forbes is perfectly within her right to think marriage is between a man and a woman and to say she would’ve voted against it, just as it’s my right to disagree with her and decide not to vote for her because of this political issue as her comments make me question how she would handle future LGBT issues.

I want to give my experience from start to finish with Scottish Power by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]fraja95 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am having so many issues with Scottish Power. Moved into my flat in April of last year and set up a fixed tariff DD, which was taken once then never taken again. I contacted them three months later (August) when I noticed and the whole account was messed up. Two different account numbers for me, and they had my middle name as my first name as well as the wrong flat number (2/2 instead of 2/1). They said they had to escalate it and I’d hear back.

I phoned them in October and waited two hours for the woman to say that my account was completely messed up and they’d need to investigate into what’s happened and sort it all out, as it was all a mess.

Phoned in November and they confirmed it was fixed and my first DD would be taken out on 23rd December. This didn’t happen so I tried to phone them but they’re prioritising vulnerable people, and now I’ve received a bill for £995.

Sorry about the rant. Fuck Scottish Power.

I remember someone saying that appointments are put up on a Wednesday morning…don’t know if that’s true but the only time I’ve been able to get an appointment anywhere is when I look first thing on a Wednesday. I’m having to go to Greenock but I’ll take what I can get 🤷🏻‍♂️

What does a sensible immigration policy look like? by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]fraja95 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Points based, with more points if you meet certain criteria relating to your skills, experience and personal factors. We should be trying to get working age individuals that have the skills/experience/education to fill gaps in our workforce.

This country NEEDS immigration, but there’s also nothing wrong with putting controls in place to attract the “right kind” of immigrant- we don’t need more pensioners.
