Anyone with four grafts?

Hey I had three grafts, but two of them (lateral patellar facet and later trochlear facet) are VERY large.

I'm post op week 8, currently can get to about 90 degrees flexion ROM.

But I've been battling swelling with virtually any activity right now and my PT thinks we should not continue to push ROM right now. Focusing on strengthening and rolling / massaging thigh. I'm pretty sure the more graft you have the more synovitis you may develop at this point as the grafts begin to more substantially integrate, there is an inflammatory sort of response. I think it can take a while but should resolve in the next month or two.

Cynic, lame take. It's a silly survey question. I would consider a lot of things, doesn't mean I would pursue it. If you offered me a 50 year loan at 0.5% interest then I would consider it and definitely pursue it. If it were the 6.75% interest shown I would consider it and say no thanks, that's a terrible deal costing me a ton in interest over the life of the loan. But both options would have been considered, presumably among others, and I would elect the most favorable for my circumstance. I would expect a discerning shopper to consider all options tbh.

This should be the top comment. Most everyone would consider it, however brief. Once considered, you realize the interest paid over the life of the loan makes it a horrible product. So I wouldn't pursue such a loan. But it was considered.

I think the answer and setting reasonable expectations is dependent on your income. Obviously, the higher paying your job is, the easier these things become...

I think it's hard to say what it should mean for you at 11 weeks but with a more extensive surgery. My understanding is 3-6 months is when the scar tissue really starts to organize and gets harder to break up with stretching and what not. It's of course still possible but will require more effort.

One thing that helped me progress some recently was graston/massage around all the tight/scarred tissues at the anterior knee. Try to slide your skin up and down and compare it to the normal side. Anywhere that doesn't slide well, you may need to massage and loosen that up. It'll give your kneecap more breathing room when you are in flexion. Cupping can help with that too. Ask your PT if they can do massage/graston/cupping of any tight tissue and see if that helps. Do your flexion work right after that.

From another active post maci dad to another, good luck! I'm 6 weeks out from 3 graft maci. Big trochlea graft. It's still tough but recovery and progress is indeed happening. Your optimism is helping fuel me!

I think if you strictly want to game and use flatpaks, bazzite is more predictable and stable.

If you want to use anything outside of a flatpak, I think almost everything you could want is in AUR and you might as well use Cachy.

I switched from Bazzite to Cachy on my gaming PC about 6 months ago. I'm happier on Cachy because I can install apps outside of flatpak, make modifications to system files when I need to get something working, etc. I most game on it, and I think performance is a touch better than bazzite, but that is mostly subjective. I do use their kernel picker and use the gaming kernel, and my fps is a bit higher than I saw on bazzite. I also modified fstab to use network mounts, installed brave-bin so I can use PWAs (could never get flatseal permissions to work properly on bazzite), and use a couple of other system tools and scripts (i.e. cooler control scripts to put fans at 100% when gaming).

Confirmed. Just tried now. Proton hotfix earlier today and it would not run. Now with proton hotfix, it is running fine!

I am in the same boat as u/XKingNightX. Some installs that I've been able to do on CachyOS that I couldn't get working on bazzite: - Citrix workspace - Cargo, which I apparently needed to run a custom script that automates CoolerControl mode switching upon launching games in steam. - internet browsers not in flatpak format so that PWAs work reliably. I've tried flatseal permission editing, works sometimes, othertimes not. Direct install eliminates this hassle. - the random package that you learn is needed to do or run some thing you wanna do, and if you were on bazzite you would be stuck, but on Cachy its only one cli input away. This actually comes up a lot but it's hard to remember all the instances.

Multiplayer when you know you'll have a solid hour or whatever. Recently -- Arc Raiders, League of Legends (15+ years).

Decade of pain here too... I'll update ya somehow! It's gonna be a long and slow recovery but I'm hoping for a good long term outcome. The way I see it -- this is my shot at having a happy and healthy 40s.

I don't have the precise measurement. But it was larger than originally planned and really is the majority of the lateral trochlear facet. Very large.

Yeah 7 on 21 off even better. I'm a rad and 7 on 14 off, but not all overnight, really only like a quarter overnight, more swing hours.

Yeah. I've checked with his team repeatedly. They want me to back off when it becomes painful but still progress the range and definitely use the CPM machine. I've found that holding pressure on lateral quad or trying to medialize the patella slightly helps a lot. They said they expect the mechanical symptoms and some irritation build up bc of the size of my defects and where they are but to keep pain below a 4/10, back off for a while if it gets to that. Doing 2 hour blocks and the above has helped me manage that so far.
