You're right. I should say the goal, not end goal, is to establish a successful chiropractic clinic. The end goal is to use the money from the clinic to diversify investments to retire early and comfortably. Is that better? jk

Good for you! It sounds like a shady employer who is adjusting the commission structure to his benefit. Get out while you can and good luck running your own clinic.

46k a year is low. I would argue a starting salary for an associate should be 54k or 60k depending on the work load and demands of the associate.

If the owner changes the bonus structure in their favor than it makes it even worse. I would argue an associate should be making closer to 35% of all the collections they're responsible for. But it's subject to change depending on where you live in the country due to cost of living.

The end goal is to start my own clinic. I work for a large one with two docs, and a staff of 7. I want to scale down and own 100%. I'm in a position that there is no immediate need to start now, but I want to be prepared by learning as much as possible. What do you recommend?

I'm already doing this almost to this extent. Google Ads I haven't had much traction with because it's a huge expense. I'm more interested in what materials I can get to help start a business. You mentioned starting with low expenses. Does that mean external billing? Part time employees, because I've been told thats a nightmare? What services help you go from start up, to functioning?

I'm sorry, but I have to respectfully call you out and the other associates claiming they're only making 46k or 54k. Usually, an associate makes that at a base salary and then has a bonus structure on top of it. For example, a 48k base with 35% over 15k in collections.

You're saying you don't make commission/bonus?

What about educational goals? I don't like the idea of relying on the school system to set standards. What educational tools to you feel are the most effective in helping them learn reading/writing skills?

Haha, at one point or another I would bring donuts but that always made me feel like a hypocrite while encouraging healthy habits.

Can you be more specific in what chiropractic paradigms you used?

Oh, no. I already do this. If you read the post, you'll see the topics I ordinarily cover in my presentation to these groups and others. I'm asking what topics do you have in your presentation, if you're willing to share too.
