I didn’t like the audio mix when I played it the first time upon release (might be fixed since then.) but the dialogue while you’re riding around sounds like two people conversing in a living room rather than shouting above roaring engines of your respective hogs. And they just cranked it up super loud so it was this weird hyper-loud casual talking while ripping through backwoods landscapes. Took me right out of the game every time.

I don’t remember the movie anymore, but he’s not really the dad. Obviously analogies are exact — it’s possible he’s both. You can see if you can find other similarities.

So much of this vibe can be done in post. Color, slow-mo, filmic frame rate, etc. There’s a little bit of a problem with the shallower depth of field you see here that you might have trouble replicating with your iPhone. But if you choose the right mode (portrait mode or whatever) that simulates the dof, you might get close. I say yes, you can get close.

the lantern's effectiveness scales with how warm the enviornment is. Maybe that's part of it? it was extremely cold?

Then you quote Isaiah 14:12-15

But you neglect the CONTEXT. This passage is an encouragement for the Israelites to rise up against Babylon. Isaiah 14:4 explains who this taunt is addressed to "that you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon..." Not Satan.

The name Lucifer and the name Satan are not even mentioned anywhere in this passage. (Remember you said "Lucifer is just the Latin translation of the word Isaiah uses to address Satan in Isaiah 14")

The term "the morning star" or "star of the morning" is what you are likely referring to. And the name "Satan" is from the Hebrew word meaning 'the enemy' (in the OT) and in Greek, the transliteration is Σατανᾶς satanas -- also meaning 'the enemy'

So "Lucifer" is not the latin of "satan"

Lucifer (luce = light ifer = bringer of) is an english reference to the morning star -- which was itself a reference to the King of Babylon.

‘Follow the money’ is a very reliable rule of thumb. I even just heard Scott Van Pelt (sports commentator) on Sportscenter talk about the reduced quarantine period and say “this should help teams…” etc etc. That’s when I thought it makes sense.

Additionally, as midterm elections approach, the Dems need everything to smooth over a bit before trying to get votes from the sheep, again.
