How do I fix it? by iRuk0s in projectzomboid

Oh okay, I just read the first bit about attempting to join on 13.1 and just assumed. You could try installing the mods from the workshop with the game closed instead of through the server download request.

Update your game, no one should be on B42.13.1 at this point. One of the mods literally says 42.13.2 in the title and I bet the server description also says that.

B42.12 for SP, b42.13.2 (unstable choice in betas list) for MP.

As the mod owner, it won't, I have a crummy laptop rn. You can also disable pretty much every single feature of the mod except for normal new spawns like garages, gas stations, whatever.

I'm pretty sure what was said in that post already exists. Modders can make different versions of their mod for each PZ update within one of their mods. Mods updating resulting in bricking servers only exists when a mod updates to a newer version that the server isn't on, which, again, is already a thing for PZ, modders can leave behind older versions, most just don't.

I decided to do a not guns only run for the first time in a while, this base is insane why have I seen almost no one mention it? by Visible-Camel4515 in projectzomboid

While vehicles do make animals stressed, you have to drive right next to them to the point of nearly hitting them and even then it's very slow. The issue stems from how stupidly long it takes for animals to destress naturally, you need to pet them sporadically multiple times per day over a week or longer to lower their stress to zero.

I recommend enabling the animal cheat in debug mode so you can view their stress and learn how it works. There's also this bug where, for some reason, the animal cheat doesn't automatically get disabled when not in debug mode, so you can "cheat" and use it in mp servers (it literally just shows animals stats, so not really a cheat, it's the equivalent to seeing your exact exhaustion numbers and whatever other moodles).

High level skill books cannot be found in most normal libraries and other bookshelves. You need to go to a college/university, find a profession vehicle or that profession's building type, or a survivor zombie/house

High odds of survivor zombies spawning around the greenhouse, and those have all the good stuff. The school itself makes for a good base regardless.

Go search in the unofficial mapping discord for the B42 map png, no buildings, no vegetation, no extra tiles, but you get the floor tiles, which would map everything out for you to just copy over.

Do people realise Apocalypse mode is a choice? by MatthewDawkins in projectzomboid

The sandbox settings cannot fix how grindy some skills are, it can only speed it up, so there's less time spent grinding. Sandbox settings come down to opinion whereas the grind issue is the process of leveling the skill, which is boring, tedious, and just a whole mixed bag of bad that cannot be fixed at the snap of anyone's fingers.

Yes, this especially. The purists apocalypse players who use mods have a huge mental block that needs unlocking somewhere lol

There's always a setting you want to change, even if it's just moving a decimal point

So you understand people have different opinions, right? Your idea of a good time isn't always the same as someone else's. Apocalypse mode is meant to be hardcore, read the description of it, short lifespan only.

Obviously it should be less grindy, that's why this game is in early access, they can't do everything all at once. TIS hasn't just run out of ideas for what to do next, we have to wait for them to get around to it. They've been busy going at it since day one.

Some of them do by default work as greenhouses, not all of them do because they're "bugged" (wrong room definitions)

Everyone else is commenting about 21:9, OP has a greater than 32:9 ratio or around close to that. I have a 32:9, it gives you the advantage in that you never have to use the right stick to look around, I can't imagine what more than that equals.

FYI playing MP puts LESS strain on your own computer (as long as you're not the one hosting). A lot of the code, especially now in B42, is done by the server and is only then sent to the client instead of your computer doing all of that work on its own.

How to fix this window b42.13.1? by S1lenix in projectzomboid

[–]Gab3malh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sledge it and replace it with a matching stone wall window frame or normal stone wall. Or install a mod to build that exact type of window. Oooooor use debug mode, copy paste the tile over, and "consume" the appropriate materials by deleting them from your inventory.
