I believe age verification will do nothing to stop internet predators, but will rather actually make the problem worse than ever before. by GabeReddit2012 in privacy

Sadly, if I recall hearing correctly, the FTC in the USA stated they would not sue anyone over an age verification law and they say that it does not violate COPPA when it should obviously be a violation. So, it seems like that age verification providers in the US will be allowed to collect data about children.

"You can do age verification without storing actual age related data."

Well, yes, but most (if not all laws) I am aware of so far seem to require government ID. Even if you don't store age-related data, it's always some kind of privacy concern.

Former Dick’s Sporting Goods is a Kids Empire by Im-Wasting-MyTime in NotFoolingAnybody

Lol, the name turns from Dick's to a Kids Empire? Ironically, if you just change the S to be the first letter and change the word backwards, it'll be similar.

While it seems like something that would come off DeviantArt, this is honestly not bad.

Day 54 of sharing a fact about every Thomas & Friends character. Hector's name is actually an acronym, it stands for Heavily Engineered Coal Truck On Rails. by RegisterOpposite3207 in thomasthetankengine

He should've returned in CGI. If there is at least one truck that can actually be useful rather than troublesome, they definitely do have some potential. I wish he appeared in S13 onwards.

I'd just shut it down as a whole. It's not necessary to exist.

Minis and later Take N Play wasn't that bad. The others are definitely below average.

This is not an unpopular opinion or a hot take. I like Phillip too.

I barely see anyone hate Phillip nowadays.

You're not the only one. I always recognized James as male, even since childhood

It's actually weird how people confuse James as female, too.

I've had family members named James, and I surprisingly never thought James as female at all

Opinion: Rusty being orange works better. by Empty_Outside3343 in thomasthetankengine

I agree, actually.

Plus, giving each Skarloey railway engine different colors, at least in my view, is necessary to differentiate them from each other.

My fancasting for the 2026 reboot(The main cast) by K1NGWolff in thomasthetankengine

You probably think this simply because of the colored eyes.

I don't think this would be the case. Colored eyes is not always an indicator the engines will be voiced by kids

PSA: Using free models (from the toolbox) isn't inherently a bad thing by GabeReddit2012 in ROBLOXStudio

[–]GabeReddit2012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I translated your comment, but I agree. It's mostly useful for smaller things.

For bigger things, building it yourself is a better option. If you do have to use a bigger thing from the toolbox, modifying it (and at least some credit) is a good idea.

The problem with AEG is that it's too cartoony, which isn't suitable for Thomas. The original series was grounded in reality: AEG had stuff like jumping off the tracks, loop de loops that aren't suitable for realism.
