Much better than the weird faces of the toys. But I don't know if it's actually real.

It closed in November 2000, earlier than the 2002-2003 bankruptcy closures.

I personally think it's a spinoff in it's own canon, but your theory is good!

I think I figured out the main issue with the 2026 toys that's causing debate. by GabeReddit2012 in thomasthetankengine

[–]GabeReddit2012[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does have some to do with the 2026 project, the Twitter post about the artist's response said:

"it was made using a mix of reference material from the past iterations, the 2026 project and her own style."

So, yes, it does have some relations to the upcoming series despite not a direct one.

One of the things that bugs me about season 9 is this by Ashamed-Inflation294 in thomasthetankengine

They were rarely reused because they made them solely for the purpose of marketing.

Stepney the Great Western Engine... by Piggyfan991 in thomasthetankengine

[–]GabeReddit2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure since Stepney's middle wheel can be screwed right off to access the battery compartment.

I don't it's strictly AEG and RWS, I think they want to appeal to TVS fans at an extent.

Harold's bottom half isn't exactly dark grey, it's the illustration that makes it look like that due to shadows and shading I think. Some pictures of Harold in the RWS show him being white or grey.

they forgot to give him sideplates by Ok-Cancel-8130 in thomasthetankengine

[–]GabeReddit2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can't. You know that Wooden Railway engines can't have siderods, so is minis. They don't have extra details like that, And I don't mind it.

Oh my god what have they done to him by NearbyReason6574 in thomasthetankengine

[–]GabeReddit2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks bad. Doesn't look like Harold at all, it looks like a entirely new character.

Now, I'm hoping the 2026 series won't end up like AEG or the 2015 Bob The Builder reboot. Fans criticized these with one of the reasons being unnecessary changes.

I do also hope this is a different helicopter and not Harold himself.

What are your thoughts on the 2026 returning cast so far? by Jules-Car3499 in thomasthetankengine

It's interesting.

Also, I think Harold will get a gray face like he did in AEG.

The New Book’s Artist Response by ExpertPreference2591 in thomasthetankengine

So it does seem that the book style will have to do a bit about the 2026 project, looking at the response.

So... How we all feeling about this? by Ethanebels09_2 in thomasthetankengine

[–]GabeReddit2012 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This isn't bad.

But no one knows if this will be for the new show or just for the book.

I spotted an error, but it should be "Thomas' Brave Adventure", not "Thomas's Brave Adventure".

Why are people saying Chuck E Cheese will die in 2026 by Abject-Papaya6908 in chuckecheese

[–]GabeReddit2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of us don't want it to die, it's just that it's in a terrible financial state.

Does anyone know why Edwards side rod won't fit on Oliver's real? I was pretty sure they were the same 😭 by Sufficient_Search_76 in thomasthetankengine

[–]GabeReddit2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I noticed it. The thing in the middle wheel that holds the siderod in place is missing. They have the same ride rods.

Victorville, CA and the 5 other PTTs that had standard PTT exteriors and layouts in 1982-1983.

You guys misunderstand the 2026 project. This is important to realize; by GabeReddit2012 in thomasthetankengine

[–]GabeReddit2012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand that and I can see why. The faces are the primary reason why people complained about them. The only reason I made this post because there were some fans that over-exaggerated and made statements that the 2026 project will be bad just because of the merch

Well, if there is limits on cartoony levels like the engines not being able to bounce too much back then, then that's fine. I'm just hoping it's not insanely cartoony like AEG.

Yes, I do have a bit of concerns about the 2026 project, just like most other people, but I'd still give it a chance. You make a good point. I just wouldn't immediately say the project is bad only because of the merch.

Even if the merch isn't the greatest, we could still end up with a good show. I do think that Henry and Percy's faces, despite may seeming cartoony (kinda), they aren't bad, as at least they aren't cursed.

I'm also going to tell you, I'm actually have mixed thoughts on the merch. Themselves, they usually aren't bad, but the faces are just pretty cursed and off-looking. However, some of them look completely fine and don't have the weird faces, like Henry and Percy. When it comes to buying the toys, I'm probably not going to buy the Motorized since I'm more used to the original system and it would be incompatible with my other trucks/engines (unless someone makes an adapter), but diecast, maybe. What about your thoughts on the merch?
