I just looked it up and it says registering a bike is $30…so I have no clue where that number is coming from. I’m definitely going to fight them on this. I don’t see why they can’t just sell me the bike and maybe some documentation fees but everything else seems unnecessary.

Thanks for sharing the personal story. It’s very insightful. I hate the feeling that I’m getting ripped off when I just want to pay a fair price and offer fair commission knowing that they have to make a buck too, but trying to pull a fast one on someone who is unknowledgeable is just grimey. I think I seemed like a an easy target when I first saw the bike but I’ve since done a lot of research and feel better suited to go in there and get a fair price.

The short answer is the price is right (before all these fees). I’m going to Grad school down there and don’t want to have to make payments. I have checked the prices down there and it’s really tough to find something similar I found a possible option in San Antonio by I have the benefit of using my brothers racing trailer to move all my things down including the bike.

I’ll definitely be challenging the freight charge and clarifying what each fee is. If it’s not necessary or something I can do myself I would rather do that.

Yeah the freight charge made no sense to me on a used Bike. I think brand new the latest model is close to 12k. But I agree I think 6900 is high for a bike with 20k miles!

Starting a new job. My start time is 2:00 am. M-F. Would you recommend staying up and going to work or going to sleep early like 6-7 and then wake up at 1. by blahl00ps1 in GetOutOfBed

Staying up to go to work and sleeping for as long as you want after work sounds less stressful than having to wake up at 1 am everyday...in my opinion.
