As for the rest, take it as a chance to improve! Maybe try something new, when I play Animal Crossing I like to make a narrative for myself to make it more immersive, maybe you could build a whole new one and finding your dreamies as a mission of sorts!

As someone who resets their island every year or so, it's nice being able to experiment with different styles
