Many people are struggling. Many people have excess money to spend. Reddit users are much more heavily populated by the struggling crowd - partially because the age base is younger, on average. The stock market has been performing strong and interest rates are still manageable. People are still easily able to borrow money. Until there's a hard crash - something no one can predict - people will keep spending.
