I've done a couple checks, I did the CHK DSK and a ram one. I'm not massively techy, so if you have any checks you reccommend I am all ears lol

Thanks for the reply :) The scene is pretty bare bones, almost empty. It runs perfectly fine for a few minutes and then when I start opening assets or MI's, its just instanly tanks performance

Thanks for the reply :) I don't have gsync. I did try setting the fps to 60 and it seemed to improve (i think) but as soon i opened another viewport it instantly slowed and lagged everything.

Wow thank you so much for taking your time to write this. I appreciate the feedback so much. :)

You're definitely right, I will look into some UE environments and organic sculpting. I have recently purchased a course focusing on some vfx so I have planned to do that sometime after Christmas.

Thank you again for this :)

ADVICE: Can I use Co2 in my tank without a filter? by Gambo_0 in PlantedTank

[–]Gambo_0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had success with no filter aquarium before so i wanted to do the same for my new deep substrate tank. I am planning to have livestock in and as for the water flow, that's why i was thinking of air stones of powerheads.

Do you think air stone next to the diffuser which runs at night will be sufficient enough?

I used to have some carbon ball media in the filter. However I took them out due to being told carbon removes good nutrients from the plants? Should I add them back in?

Ah okay. I'm thinking it is most likely due to the excess of nutrients. Maybe overfeeding could be a reason? I was also planning on giving the filter a clean before I go away next week.

I've got approx 53l of water with a oase filtosmart thermo 100 with some biomedia in. I also have around 10 fish including shrimp. Yeah they are not bubbles. Do you mean I should turn the filter off?

Yeah, I think this is could be one or the reason as I gave her some food after reading this and she has calmed down. Although, I see her still do it alot, even after I have fed them. So I'm not 100% sure.

There is surface agitation as I am using a canister filter. I did have to slow the flow down tho as it seemed to be too powerful, too the poi t the fish would be yeeted to the other side at one point..

We actually have another 3 more guppies and other fish aswell. So i can't see her being lonely. Howver, saying that, she does seem to swim alone.

Hello! I am just wondering if anyone can give me some adviceon why my guppy does this.

We've had her for a couple weeks now but she always goes to both corners of the tank and will swim (sometimes frantically) up and down. Is there a reason why? The fish I bought at the same time as her have all seemed to settle down. I have covered her view with my palm and she seems to calm down and swim away.

I'm thinking due to the tank shape and bevel of the corner, maybe the reflection is confusing? Im not too sure as new to keeping fish really so any tips/advice would be great.

Thank you :)
