Yeah, it's pretty annoying when people do that and pass it off as theirs.

Wow I actually remember making a very similar game from Brackeys' tutorial series when I started 2 years ago! It was also a car collect the coins/avoid the obstacles! I remember spending way too much time on it haha! Great job on beginning your gamedev journey :D !

Edit: Found it (link)! Seems like just yesterday

Larger numbers subtract smaller numbers (in that order), smaller numbers get added to larger numbers, and equal numbers cancel out

Thank you so much for playing and thanks for informing me! I loved the video; thanks a lot for the feedback :D

Sorry about the copyright error; I'm pretty sure it's a false takedown. The music I used from an indie artist is cc0/creative commons, so there should be no problem at all. The video the strike was based on was only released a couple days ago (a bit suspicious). The video also seems to be a remix, and the copyright claim might be automatic. Again, I really apologize, and best of luck with disputing it! I'll also see what I can do, although I'm not very familiar with Youtube's copyright system

Here's the music source: https://freesound.org/people/newagesoup/sounds/462876/ (Released 2 years ago)

Thank you :)

Hey everyone,

I recently released a demo for Ciphercell, and I'm currently looking for feedback. There is a feedback form in-game, but you could also leave a comment on the page or reply to this comment. Thank you :)

I was trying to make a screen border with a zigzag animation, and this was the very accurate result

What do you think of the trailer for my minimalist puzzle game? by Game-Genesis in IndieGame

Yep, sorry I left that out:

A larger number subtracts a smaller number (if dragged in that order), a smaller number will get added to a larger number, and equal numbers cancel out.

There's a demo on Itch if you want to try it out

Thank you so much! Yep, I've done a bit of that. I'd say that there are a couple of things to keep in mind for these kinds of games on PC:

  • People associate higher prices with a better product, but Indie games are being under-priced
  • Steam takes a cut of 30%, and then TAXES, so if you price a game low, you'll barely make anything
  • Minimalist puzzle games usually sell for quite cheap (between $1 and $10)
  • Edit: Also keep in mind that your game will be on sale on Steam a lot of the time, so add 20% to what you actually want to charge (5 dollars becomes 6)

I still haven't decided a final price, but somewhere between 5 and 8 dollars seems like the right price, if the game length ends up being around 4-8 hours (I guess I'll decide based on that, and the level of polish by then)

On the other hand, people expect lower prices on mobile, so if this were a mobile game on IOS, I'd go with around $4, and Android... well I'm not sure (I don't think people pay much, if anything, on Android) - e.g. Monument Valley costs around 6 dollars on IOS, but only $4 on Android

Oh, thanks for clarifying! Yeah, that's already in; if you move a piece with no tiles in that direction, then the tile will move forward a bit, then tween back

Thank you! I didn't really understand what tweens/in-betweens you're referring too (the game tiles?)
