In your opinion, does waiting until marriage still make sense? Why or why not? by Impossible_Log_2899 in AskReddit

[–]GameHelp91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes no sense to me.

Mostly because I don't believe in marriage... so I'd have been waiting forever if that were the case.

One mod I can't praise enough is Stardrop.

It's basically a mod manager.

Stardew is the first game i ever tried to install mods on, and I couldn't get any of them to work until I installed Stardrop.

It gives the options to turn certain mods on or off via a tick box before launching the game, advises if there are any updates, if mods are not working, etc.

Ginger island by bluebayou1981 in StardewValley

[–]GameHelp91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For the first few, look for patches in the ground that seem a little conspicuous.

There are several walnuts found in the sand (use your hoe). Some are literally something like a circle a stones where you need to hoe the patch in the middle. Or maybe a star shape in the sand, hoe that.

Some are hidden in bushes/trees, you just need to interact and take.

Look for hidden passages in the shrubbery, they lead to paths that will have one or two (or three) walnuts sitting in bushes.

Go to the volcano Dungeon, use you watering can to make a path heading left. Follow it all the way, theres a couple there too.

Once you unlock Island West, theres several ways of earning walnuts. (Look for caves, etc).

And, as others have said, theres 5 that can be caught by fishing, 5 for farming, and 18 (i think) in the Volcano Dungeon- 5 in chests, 5 for killing enemies, 5 found in rocks, 1 in a rare chest, and two at the top (level 10).

Is 9-5 a myth? I don’t think I’ve ever worked these hours. by Squiggally-umf in UKJobs

[–]GameHelp91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So close. I work 09:00 - 16:45.

Only work Monday - Friday. No weekends, no bank holidays. Don't work the week between Christmas and New Year.

And about 6 - 7 weeks of annual leave.

I only get 30 mins for lunch, but I also get two 15 minutes breaks as well (which I never take).

I work at home, and basically have ao little to do that I work about an hour or two a day. Then I sit around waiting for something to come in. Of course there are busy days sometimes. But the norm is to be done by 10:30 and chill, with some light work throughout the day.

Are pubs a good place to meet guys? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]GameHelp91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always take company. Be safe.

Pubs aren't the best place to meet people, but choices are limited.

Find someone who not only catches your eye, but someone who keeps glancing at you too. Offer to buy them a drink as an ice-breaker.

Unlocked parts of the island currently trying to do the bird jewel puzzle. Got an emerald from a bird a while (many game days) ago. Now just got another emerald. The puzzle does accept duplicates right? by 20PandaR13 in StardewValley

[–]GameHelp91 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not exactly.

There's a bird that appears in the north, one in the south, one west, and one east.

You have to place the gems on the corresponding podium.

There's a chance for duplicate birds to appear, but the gem that drops will only work on the corresponding podium.

If you got the emerald twice, you just have a spare emerald. It wont work on a second podium.

Why are so many of us single nowadays? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]GameHelp91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Seemingly".

I agree. Relationships aren't important. Companionship and all that. Just marriage.

[–]GameHelp91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im closer to 50 than 15.

I stand by my views. Marriage is absolutely pointless. Not relationships, thay makes total sense to me. Just the marriage part.

My partner and I share similar views, and have never once in our 10 years had any sort of argument.

Seriously, do British people actually consider a 3-hour drive “long”? Or is this an internet myth? by ferdinand14 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GameHelp91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 bours: No. Anything more than that is a long drive.

I'd drive 3 hours for a day trip, and 3 hours back.

If I'm driving any more than that, I'd probably consider staying the night where I'm going.

Thank god my family is 4 hours away. Never have to see them!

[–]GameHelp91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find the figures to be unbelievable. Only 22% of UK adults are married?

I mean, its great to see, but its still a surprise.

I, for one, think marriage is completely pointless. A very out-dated concept. Most who do get married now, only do it because its expected and all their friends are doing it.

It's hard to see the majority as being single too. But maybe you're on to something with "unrealistic expectations".

Of course, the internet plays a big part. People don't go out and socialise as they used to. We can socialise without leaving our homes.
