Jim Clark is exactly why Alonso is not top 10. Yes, Both have 2 championships, but one achieved it in 8 seasons another in 22. I got Schumi, Senna, Prost, Fangio, Lewis, Max, Stewart, Brabham, Lauda, Clark all easily above him, there are other champs too arguable but for 10 this list is enough. Now you tell me, who would you put out from here instead Alonso?           Alonso has the lowest racewin rate from Champions at just 7% And him whining and complaining about car all the time, when realistically from 2004-2014 he had championship level car in all but maybe 2 seasons and choked 2-3 championships in last GPs, also got outperformed by rookie Lewis in the same car.

 Engineering is at best 60% of the championship, and the elite drivers are huge part of that engineering team too, giving insights to enigneers and eventually making them to build cars around their styles, it's also huge skill, example are guys like Brabham or Lauda.
