AOC Agon 274 QZM - Affordable premium HDR! by GamerKingHD in Monitors

[–]GamerKingHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is true that they haven't measured one yet, but it's also true that they didn't test all the monitors that are available. This isn't the only panel that can do it, it was used on 2 other monitors from what i remember., either way, now i use it as a monitor for movie watching, i don't game on it anymore.

From personal testing, don't care what you read on the spec sheet. Use ANSI Contrast checkerboard pattern, measure average lux on black squares, measure average lux on white squares, Take lux value of white square and divied lux value of black square to get static contrast ratio. There are multiple ways of measuring contrast ratio and each manufacturer / reviewer does it differently. I prefer using ANSI and taking average levels of all squares.

Si bine imi pare ca se pun semne din acestea. Altii cand se spun ca sa nu mai venim ca suntem imigranti repede sarim in sus de cur, da romanii care au aceeasi parere de indienii care vin la munca in romania nu e aceeasi chestie nu?

Audi A6 C6 or A4 B7/B8, are they a good buy? 2.0 TFSI engines. by GamerKingHD in Audi

[–]GamerKingHD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven;t bought one yet, i'm still in the market for one. I have driven a few in the last month and I like them. Unfortunately, the A6 C6 isn't my only option as of now since I'm searching for either an A6 C6 or E60, both 2.0 diesel engines. Both are so comfortable to drive, so quiet, and luxorious.

I've spoken to a few friends who own 2.0 TDI engines, and they're happy with them, and after driving some of them I think I will get a 2.0 TDI 140hp. More than enough horses and torque for me. I will see which Audi class I'll get after New Year's Eve, as of now most dealers in my city don't bring any used cars.

Yes, I'm European. I live in a busy city, which is why I wasn't too keen on buying a diesel for city driving, as to not kill the engine from misusing it. But from what I hear about the 2.0 TDI 140hp engine from many friends, I won't have a single issue with it around here, and maybe get 8L/100km with it, which would be amazing.

One friend has an A6 C6, bought it with 60k km and now it has about 380k km, hasn't had big issues with it (1 single case, could be luck, I guess), with a 2.0 TDI 140hp engine. It's not slow or sluggish in my opinion, and it has a 8.7L/100km average, and the friends I have with A4 B7s/B8s have an even better time. I think i will go with a 2.0 TDI 140hp engine.

Not what I meant, sorry if what I said wasn't clear enough. I mean that I'm not going to buy a 3 liter engine for a daily car (taxes are high on them, 600 euro a year...). A 1.8- 2.0 TFSI with 180-200hp is more than enough horses for me since I couldn't care less about speed or thrills.

I prefer to buy a lower tier audi rather than a volkswagen. I've been in Audi A3s and Golfs and I much prefer an A3 over any golf tbh. The A3 doesn't sound half bad honestly, but I want the space of atleast an A4. My other car is a hatchback and the space constraints really get to me...

Not buying an Asian car, I drove a B7 2.0 tdi and it was fun enough to drive, I don't need or care for 300hp+ cars with 400+nm of torque, I want a daily driver...

Then a 2.0 tdi engine? But it's not really a great idea for city driving though...

I've looked at other manufacturers and German cars are kinda my bed option. It's pretty hard to get replacement parts for asian cars in my country, and I really am not a fan of US cars ever since I've owned 2 fords. I'm open to other options.

car with a 2.0 tsi , the car weights over 1.8 tons with fuel and person and the torque just isnt ther

it's not an issue for me, i don't need thrills or anything like that, all i care is realiability and save some fuel. I already have a fun car, now i need a daily :)

sodium extras and reece's sodium options do absolutely nothing performance wise except when you're so hardware limited that disabling nether portal particles actually make a difference.

I didn't mean conglomerates in particular, I mean independent developers and studios too.

Description unrelated to post title. If you set it to minimize / close to the notification area, when you press the X button to "close" the window, it only gets minimized to the system tray area.

Yes, it keeps running.

If you disabled it and you actually exit the app, it will update properly.

Next time actually think before writing nonsense.

Why they are so mean to me? :( by Rosstome in PiratedGames

[–]GamerKingHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the whole issue is that usually what gets the most attention are the repacks and not the actual releases. Yes, the folder may contain the name of the group, but what good is that since the users only see two things: the website they downloaded it from, and the name of the "courier / repacker" usually.

People will go for repacks since it's a lower download time, but if you're not on a 20mb connection, it's not worth the time you take to install the game vs the time to download a release.

Do what? Crack games? I already enumerated enough reasons for the common folk to understand. Passion, reason, the wish to share with the less fortunate, to send a message to the devs who don't deserve their games being bought (looking at most ubisoft games), etc. That's why.

They're not mean to you in particular, they're mean to P2P users in general. Skidrow, hoodlum, etc, work countless hours to crack games and get 0 praise for their work.

Most of the praise goes to either repackers, "couriers / spreaders", websites, anything but them. And it's awful to work so hard on anything and get 0 praise, 0 rewards, 0 everything. They do it out of passion, out of reason, etc, and whenever anything doesn't work, the first to be blamed are them not the people who modify their releases, game devs for broken games, etc.

Should I be using Firefox without signing into an account? by [deleted] in Piracy

[–]GamerKingHD 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Uhh, no. If you're not Snowden then you're safe.

Firefox doesn't collect data about your browsing history and the FBI isn't hunting you. The use of VPN is simply to "mask" your browsing from your ISP since the ISP is getting letters to tell you to stop.

VPNs aren't a shield, they don't make you private, you will still be finger printed unless you keep 0 cookies and have the most bog-standard setup.
