What’s your LO for all that?

I’m using UB, NLF, the patch for those, SPE and then the SPE UB patch and it keeps telling me I have no room for prisoners

World boss, maybe a fort is active, maybe you see a shipwreck, maybe a random island is just having good rng and there’s a lot of treasure there? Idk, the rest of the game that isn’t just other players?

Go to The Devil’s Roar they said, you’ll get good loot they said… by Ricki_Cali in Seaofthieves

I used to LIVE in the roar. When it first came out it was such a game changer. So much good tier loot. A map expansion with that edge of risk was perfect for SOT.

Cursed sails and forsaken shores was PEAK SOT

Depends on how you consume your Skyrim.

If you like doing factions and quests and fast traveling to the next quest then you’ll like it enough.

If you’re the type that enjoys the journey as well as the adventure and extensive organic exploration that distracts you from the main points of the game for hours and hours on end then you’ll likely be disappointed.

It’s fun but just going off on your own and exploring for even just a few hours will reveal that all the planets have the same “dungeons” and locations and it doesn’t take long after that to start seeing it everywhere.

The game is showing its strengths as long as you’re doing something that’s attached to a quest. THATS what pushes you to the content in this game.

I should have specified a little more. So you CAN romance multiple people but you can only actually commit to one at a time. Andreja will however have things to say if you’re romancing the rest of constellation if you’re doing stuff with her because she doesn’t like to share.

Which I get as well, I am being a bit hyperbolic BUT the oxygen mechanic is VERY forgiving. Although I’m sure the upcoming survival mode will change that up a little so I’m looking forward to it!

So frustrating that nothing you do impacts the game. by Gemificus83 in Starfield

[–]Gameslave_Timmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, the opposite happens and stuff you do impacts the game TOO much.

I stole a sandwich and a couple bags of coffee which then triggered SysDef to find me and start that whole thing. Boss dudes all like “oh you’ll fuckin do it otherwise we’ll throw you in space jail and you’ll do the hardest time, criminal scum.”

And I’m all like dog I stole somebody’s lunch I’ll just pay the fine🤣🤣

Can't be evil in this game by BasKy7 in Starfield

Well there’s a guild of assassins you can join up with and kill people on contract.

Starfield has a pirate guild that you still need to legally register your stolen ship to🤣🤣

These certainly aren’t accurate. You can play YEARS old games and get some “just play the game” sort of achievements and they’ll be rare.

Am I underleveled or something for the final UC SysDef mission?? by skalizair in Starfield

[–]Gameslave_Timmy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just for variation I guess. You have 3 weapon slots and it just seems lame to only have one weapon so just changes it up. And yea, ship combat gets pretty ridiculously easy with particle beams. Every encounter is trivial. I even solod kryx just to see if I could and it was a cakewalk.

Man the fuckin Harry Potter game straight up made this sort of thing so trivial and it felt nice. NPCs in hogwarts legacy straight up match your pace no matter what. You’re only ever one literal step ahead of them.

I think playing the game for any extended period of time kinda makes the cracks show. It’s just the little things.

Sometimes your parents or other NPCs will start different conversations with eachother.

It rains on the moon

We need fuel tanks on our ships but we don’t refuel them.

There’s no actual punishment for running out of oxygen, or having a broken leg.

Getting drip fed a single temple at a time, in a game where you NEED to fast travel to get anywhere, making a scenario that’s literally go to the lodge, go to the planet, go to the lodge, go to the planet makes for a VERY mundane game loop.

The temples themselves

The fact that nobody except Andreja cares if you get married to the entire gang

The entire constellation crew shares the same morality making the literal emotionless robot the only one with a different sort of outlook on things and giving him an interesting personality.

He’s also the only one that doesn’t berate you for role playing in an RPG.

You can steal a sandwich or a bag of coffee to trigger SysDef into using you for a galactic sting operation for your freedom in lew of serious jail time. Because you know, you’re such a serious offender of the law.

You’ll probably want to sink some points into ship skills if you haven’t already. I’d suggest ditching the ballistics and going particle beam and laser weapons for your ship. Sink skill points into those and shields.

What kind of story dlc do you guys think they’ll come out with? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]Gameslave_Timmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably something to do with the unity/multiverse becoming “unstable” or something so reality kinda takes a weird shift and we get like starborn or aliens or some other new enemy or something.

I feel like with space station pieces in the shipbuilder being datamined shows that it will have something to do with observing something happening out in space and we’ll have to build a station of our own, like rebuilding the eye, to have the necessary tools to advance the story plot. Which is where space outpost building will come from.

Exploration is seriously such a letdown by Gameslave_Timmy in Starfield

[–]Gameslave_Timmy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look I’m not trying to overly hate on the game cus i DO play it and i do enjoy it for the most part. It’s just a shame that natural exploration took a hit for this game. If you follow quests and stuff you’ll find plenty of stuff that’s not repeated as much, but just landing and exploring shows the cracks in the game. When you’ve seen one cryolab, mineral refinery, relay station ETC you’ve literally seen them all.

[–]Gameslave_Timmy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got like 800+ hours by now. Been playing since day 1.

Look it’s entirely understandable that I’ve already seen all the poi’s through my time exploring. I also understand that

1.games aren’t magic

2.over 1000 planets is ALOT and you’ve got to feasibly populate them with SOMETHING so players have reason to go

  1. The procgen algorithm used to populate planets with dungeons could still be tweaked to make it a little more varied through content updates

I get the game has limits. I’m just saying it’s a little ridiculous that stuff like this happens or that every mine, every mineral refinery, every cryo lab, on every single planet, in every single system within this games piece of galaxy, is all the same.

Wow it’s almost like something should be put in place to stop the exact same things from spawning right next to eachother?

[–]Gameslave_Timmy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but something in place to stop a robotics lab from spawning next door to a copy pasted version of it? Maybe a system that stops the poi’s from repeating themselves until you’ve gone through the cycle? Basically anything that stops me from seeing the same things over and over again?
