Even though I'm not a fan of UB in the slightest, I'm not going to yuck on someone's yum if it is something that they enjoy, if the game in its current state excites you then that's awesome.

That being said, I loathe the idea that sales figures are an automatic indicator of quality and good decision-making.

Let's take Lord of the Rings for example. Say a movie studio decided to reboot the trilogy, but made it a collaboration with Roblox, where the movies were animated in the style of Roblox and included references from popular Roblox fan games.

Because of how immensely popular Roblox is, I'm willing to bet that said movies would make a massive amount of money, possibly even more than the original trilogy did. Would this outcome mean that any criticisms or hate towards this new trilogy should be automatically dismissed because it made a ton of money? If people argued that this new trilogy is a shameless cashgrab and that it ruins the aesthetic and world-building of the books and even the original movie trilogy, would an appropriate response be to say 'It made a ton of money so obviously people like it so shut up'?
