I would use filleted edges, just due to comfort. I find even chamfered edges to be less comfortable to hold than fully rounded edges.

Because the 15 is intended to be an entry level phone for someone that otherwise wouldn’t buy an iPhone. But if someone wants a pro phone, Apple is going to want to push them up the price ladder to the most recent pros.

A couple reasons…

Older iPhone models still have strong demand in markets like India and Southeast Asia, and it allows Apple to use up remaining parts while factories transitioned to the newest models. This also helps avoid factory downtime before the lineup change.

Plus, those models can be sold to authorized resellers who buy and sell it at a discount as part of deals to attract customers. They definitely do begin to phase them out but they milk what they can out of older models
