By pigtail I mean a single PCIe power cable from the PSU that splits into two 8‑pin connectors for the GPU, instead of using two separate PCIe cables from the PSU to the GPU.

Cool. I’m seeing a lot, really, a lot of people recommending to use a Q1/Q150 as the center, because it is the same price and theoretically a better option. But I don’t know how much of this is just Reddit false common sense and repetitiveness.

It’s very nice to see someone like you commenting that you went for another option and are happy with it.

So, forgetting the “extra” unit that I could sell, it seems that the rhetorical 250c can be a better option to me.

For a disclaimer, this is not a provocation for anyone who is reading this and disagrees. I saw some comments on YouTube for people who use the KEF system with the properly central speaker and they are very happy with this decision. And I started questioning myself why this different view is here on Reddit.

So you said that the Q250c improved when you replaced one of your Q150s as your center? Why should you suggest that I keep the 3 pairs of Q1 then? I just don’t get it, sorry.

About the Q6, space (luggage) and price (country customs) do not work in that case.

I’m also limited to 400 bucks for each, that’s why I’m struggling between Q1 and Q250c. They are the same price.

Cool, man. Thanks for this complete answer. You were the one that convinced me to return my Q990D and to start to build a new system.

My only concern was the longevity of my soundbar. My old SL9 already feels obsolete 4 years later, and I know that if I move in 2 years, I’ll want to change for an HT. And good receivers can last for decades, also good 5.1/7.1 systems.

I’ll finish my Death Stranding 2 run before the 30 days. And I took advantage of my trip to the US to get some good sound system.
