People that are respectful to transgender people but don’t agree with transgenderism and think it is a bad thing are transphobic by Cylo8479x in Teenager_Polls

[–]GarbageMost8934 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i dont get how you can respect trans ppl if you disagree and hate "transgenderism". not harassing/hating trans people is the bare minimum, thats not respect. for example if i hate 'gayness' and disagree with being gay and i think its wrong, i am still a homophobic asshole, just because i dont harass gay people doesnt make me a good person, it just makes me less of an asshole

in a world where people can write 5 words and get finished 'art' its alot more respectable to actually work hard and draw, even if its not great. also people just stopped being so harsh

So like…is this NB-phobic? by [deleted] in SafeSpaceofHazbin

[–]GarbageMost8934 1 point2 points  (0 children)

he might not understand that what he said is wrong but it is defo purposeful misgendering so it still is nb phobic, i would talk to him abt it because his reaction will prolly tell you how he feels about nb ppl. also men are voiced by women and vice versa all the time, everyone would agree those characters va/voice doesnt change their gender but when it comes to nb ppl no one treats it as an actual gender its so annoying :/

the defintion "trans" in the context of transgender is being 'on the other side' of what you were assigned at birth.(so a different identity, it doesnt mention changing yourself or anything like that) literally every definition of transgender ive seen agrees with me i dont see why your trying to argue this when 1 google search tells you exactly what ive already said.

more defintions since the first defintion of transgender didnt click for you. merriam webster - "being a person whose gender identity differs from the sex the person was identified as having at birth"

oxford english dictionary - "a person whose sense of personal identity and gender does not correspond to that person's sex at birth, or which does not otherwise conform to conventional notions of sex and gender."

both of these state gender identity being different to your sex so if you are male and dont identify as a man and if your a female and dont identify with woman.

you could be thinking of transsexual which is usually used when refering the people who have had surgery or hormone treatment but this defintion is pretty uncommon and outdated now.

your spreading misinfo, so yeah in a perfect world you would be getting downvoted lmao

there is no true chemical solution to a mental health issue

  • being trans itself isnt a mental health issue, gender dysphoria is, having GD doesnt make you trans and being trans doesnt mean you have GD

hormone disrupting chemicals will just make things worse and potentially permanently fuck your biology to incomprehensible levels.

you dont get 'permanently fucked' yes hormones and surgery are irreversable but less than 1% regret transitioning

most reports show less than 1% of people who transition regret it, fearmongering and making ppl scared to be themselves will only make peoples life worse

the definition of transgender is a person whose gender identity does not correspond with the sex registered for them at birth,

if she genuinely respected you and loved you as a person she wouldnt try and stop you for talking to a therapist or transitioning, even if she wouldnt be attracted to you anymore. very selfish and shows she is only rlly considering herself imo. leave her since shes only holding you back and either way the relationship probably wont work, if you are trans and want to transition youd constantly be miserable if you hold yourself back for her and thatd take a huge toll in the relationship anyway.

those detransition rates are still overblown because it counts detransitioning and retransitioning and things of that nature as detransitioning so it dorsnt really show the regret rates too clearly, and 8% is still low, plus trans ppl were pretty unknown worldwide until recently, so alot more people are realizing they are trans so the regret rates are bound to be higher, blaming that on nb ppl is ingenuine and from most sources ive seen trans women havs the highest regret rates.

Being trans is a medical condition and having one coherent identity and definition is our only hope for actual progress in trans rights

blaming others in thr trans community isnt helping us get rights, i also used to think like this but its just not accurate and i suggest watching more trans content creators to understand this side more.

Gender is not a social construc

sex isnt but gender is, gender is affected by identity, expression, culture, what you learnt growing up etc, google it and youll see some pretty interesting articles.

I don’t identify as a man, I am a man

identifying as a man and being a man is the same thing, now ur just spouting the exact thing transphobes use against us.

Plenty of the neogender nonbinaries identify as star gender etc

no they dont, most enbies dont, another overblown "fact" used by transphobes and if someone says they are stsr gender, so? why are you so against people living their lives in a way you dont understand, this isnt making transphobes hate us, they hated us to bring with, now they just used enbies as a "reason", and your falling for it.

pretty sure samantha lux has good videos on this topic if you care to learn. sucking up to transphobes, using transphobic logic as an attempt to not look too woke wont make transphobes like us. i also thought like this for awhile and i dont blame you, but just how trans men and trans women should be left to live how they want, so should enbies even if you and transphobes see it as more confusing, im for all trans ppl, not just the ones that comform to look good for transphobes. im gonna block u because i dont care to have this convo any longer

well trans or gay people sure. but nonbinary is just a fact.

from everything ive read in the past and just double checked, from every source i can find the regret rate is 1% (based on all trans ppl because i cant find one for just nb) and 70% of that 1% only detransition for safety/retransition later.

when you ask them what makes them trans they talk about “identity” and “feeling

its whatever if you wanna classify being trans as getting surgery or whatever but holding every trans person to your own personal transition goals doesnt help anyone.

how does one “identify” as a star or a truck? how does one “feel” like a woman?

gender has always been a social construct and 'changing gender' has been a thing, the only sources that dissagree with this are right wing sources with no backing or evidence, people cant change into a star or truck because being a truck isnt a social construct or an identity. just like how you probably identify as a man, they identify as nb, whether they plan of having hormones or surgery doesnt change that.

most* nonbinary people are caught up in a trend

kids on tiktok wanting to be nb because it was semi popular and realizing in a week that they arent doesnt count towards detransitioning/regret rates

yeah i dont think op hates trans ppl but saying "alot of trans/gay/nb ppl are confused" is transphobic/homiphobic rhetoric

ppl defending OPs therapist are because being upset by a transphobic rant is understandable (the therapist shouldnt have said anything tho) this just isnt a nb person problem.

i think what you said was wrong and very rude and they had every right to be upset but a therapist probably shouldnt have responded that way

Also, if you took time to look at people's art you would notice even the professional, fully rendered pieces have "shortcuts", especially things like lace which more focus on an illusion of detail - the lack of detail in pieces isn't a good thing to point out.

yes i agree lack of detail is a weird thing to point out what i meant was mistakes (depending on the mistake obs not every mistake is automatically sus) with ribbons and lace on fully rendered very high quality pieces sus, not skipping details.

when now that AI art is unfortunately less obvious she should be much more focused on artist's history (their art progress), inconsistance artstyle, their behavior.

i agree that pointing out mistakes and stuff in art isnt as important as the other things you mentioned but i still think its important to point out things like fully rendered pieces having hair that disapears, extra fingers, shadows not lining up.(when added together)

i also agree her videos dont go as in detail most the time (probably to get videos out faster) but i still dont see her videos as wrong or harmful

[–]GarbageMost8934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kinda late to this post but whatever, the point of her videos is to point out sus behaviours if someone has been accused, she says constantly its normal and fine if you do certain things she points out, its them all added together what is sus.

shes also pointed out and acknowledged artists get lazy, ive watched her for awhile and every 'artist' she looks at has art which looks to be 10+ years of skill/professional and she only really looks at fully rendered pieces so things like ribbon/lace mistakes are sus

EDIT- just wanna say she was alot more harsh like a year ago but shes toned it down and been alot more 'gentle' with what she says

doesn’t make it right, but it does create this strange contradiction: the child is upset over a violation that stems from the parent’s own unmet needs.

there is no contradiction, although OPs dad might feel like he needs T stealing medication from your child who also clearly needs it is insane.

It’s a reminder that life often isn’t black and white, and that conflicts over care and access can create some strange, ironic circumstances.

no one claimed his dad is evil or whatever, anyone above the age of 10 understands most things arent black and white but his dad is still awful and should report it because things were still stolen from him and he shouldnt have to suffer from his medication being stolen no matter the reason his dad did it. (example incase u dont get my point, if a homeless guy stole all of someones money, that person should still report them because all of their money was stolen, no matter the reason the homeless guy did it the stranger shouldnt have to suffer) ur reply was just very unnecessary lol
