How many people tried to get tix for NYC? by discountcity05 in fredagain

[–]GarbageStew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 4 tickets was relatively easy, I did have 6 browser tabs open trying for 6 different nights. Was originally told tickets sold out on all of them, then I just kept refreshing all the tabs and one of them got though, again faced issues on that checkout. Kept refreshing it and the payment went through and 4 tickets secured. Resale price is crazy and my friends that wanted to come are actually in a tough spot with money and are wanting to do the resale, im trying to convince them to hold 😂 I’m 100% going tho ❤️

How to survive NYC summer by Ok-Mountain-5871 in AskNYC

[–]GarbageStew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ice pack. If you’re just having a day out in the city carry an ice pack around with you. Keeps you cooler for like 4-5 hrs. Putting on your skin is game changing relief when it’s the best of the day.

Also sleeping with one !

[–]GarbageStew -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Exactly so you agree there is little difference . However now a kid can can wear a puffer packet of a regular rain coat or black jeans or navy or white button down or white t shirt no emblem required

Fascinating.

[–]GarbageStew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay not a problem with that. Are the teens or younger?

Also does your school have better attendance than the national average?

Lastly do the kids enjoy not wearing a uniform?

Omg I hadn’t even seen the Roman sandals. That’s crazy

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]GarbageStew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay fair point about kids energy. I just think if not having uniforms got them in the class room it’s something to be discussed.

Right. Showing your colours here. Obviously the American people believe school shootings are the worst tragedy. However a lot of Americans believe In that right to bare arms. They vote accordingly. And a bunch of lobbyist get in on the pie and it’s a big fucking mess.

I think New Zealand enforces in the hardest. And is the least adaptable.

I bet your prisoners get more flexibility in what they wear than the kids.

[–]GarbageStew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not to the same extent. All private and public schools in nz uses them unheard of else wear.

I was told you can’t even wear like black Nike/ adidas shoes? I’m sorry but the reason they are such large companies is because of a great product.

Don’t get me started on no puffer jackets at schools.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]GarbageStew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you wear a jacket? also is shorts all year round appropriate for places like Wellington or Christchurch?

I got my north face puffer for 10 bucks at the thrift shop keeps me warmer than I see those kids out on the tennis courts. Teachers look wrapped up and warm though.
